Loving your dogs like my own!

Pet care experience

Welcome! Regardless of size, breed, or age I want to watch your loved one! Without any pets of my own currently, watching others pups is my idea of a great weekend so you can rest assured that they will receive plenty of love and attention. I offer all-inclusive stays with bedding, food, toys, extra leashes, treats, and whatever else they may need with a minimum of 3 walks (two 15 min, one 30-45 min with adjustments where necessary for your dog's activity level) per day. Have your own things? No problem, bring them along. I want to make your pups stay the best I possibly can. Having been around dogs my whole life, I have experience with various doggy personalities and needs. I pick up quickly on how your dog responds to being excited, scared, or confused and have the knowledge to keep your pet safe and happy regardless of the situation. Bossy breed? Nervous around others? Special diet? Strict eating/walking schedule? No worries. We can do it. About this sitter: I am a stay-at-home mommy of two and an avid dog lover. Let me know how I can help! I offer sitting and walking services for dogs of all ages, breeds, and personalities. I pride myself on being able to make dogs feel comfortable and less anxious while you, their owner, is away. You are on vacation, so why shouldn't they be! Please note, while happy to visit your dog in his own home, I do not do overnight stays. Sorry for the inconvenience! I look forward to meeting all of you and your wonderful canine friends!! Never a dog-owner, always a sitter. That's me! I have spent many, many years living with roommates dogs, sitting for family and friends, and just generally being a dog lover. I have no lack in exposure to all breeds, sizes, ages, personalities, and needs. Why I love dog sitting Though growing up we had chickens and horses instead of canines, I have always loved dogs. When I was 12, I handed out fliers all over the neighborhood offering my services as a dog-sitter. My first client was a black lab named Max. I've been hooked since! Whether my neighbor's, friend's, or sister's pup, I am first to offer to sit them while they are out of town. About my yard I live in a pet friendly apartment with a partially fenced green space. My experience administering medication With proper instructions from owner, yes. I have administered eye/ear drops, creams/topical, and pill medication in the past.

Stephanie was amazing! She took care of our pups as if they were her own. We will definitely use her again soon!

Stephanie made everything about sending my puppy off overnight for the first time so easy and comfortable. She sent updates and pictures and accommodated everything I asked for Bambi. So glad I found someone I know I can trust my baby with when I need to be away from now on.

Stephanie and I arranged a stay for my dog several weeks in advance. I sent her a confirmation notice the day before. The morning of the dropoff I texted and called her and didn't hear back from her. We drove to her house around the time we had agreed to leave our dog and she was not home. We called Rover and they were not able to reach her either. We ended up having to find last minute accommodations for our dog in a city we were unfamiliar with (although we did find a great daycare/boarding facility). This is the first time I have ever had a Rover no-show.

Information Stephanie E. would like to know about your pet

I have no hesitation sitting a dog of any size or breed and am reliable and experienced when it comes to dogs with special needs whether behavioral, medical, etc. I am always open to discussing concerns and will communicate honestly about what I can and cannot do. If possible, I always like to do a short meet and greet before booking so we can meet and discuss your pups needs face-to-face. In doing this, not only can you feel more confident having seen me interact with your loved one, but likewise I am able to better understand your role as "pack leader". This will help me determine how I can be the best sitter possible. Easy dog and no time to meet? No problem.

A typical day

Here's where we'll take our walks The backyard is perfect for a few lazy minutes outside and there are many small parks and grassy areas well within walking distance. Your dog's sleeping arrangement I provide a comfy dog bed, however, assuming he/she is well house-trained, your dog is welcome to sleep anywhere in my home that they like. If a kennel is preferred, the owner will need to provide. Whatever they choose, rest assured they will never be left alone overnight and will always be safe and comfortable. Time I'll spend with your dog Weekends- Your dog is not only a priority, but my entertainment for the weekend as well! This means as much of my weekend as possible will be spent with your dog in and outside of the house. I love to set playdates with friends' dogs and take excursions to the park. Of course, any activity outside of daily walks/playtime will be discussed in advance with the owner and will only occur with explicit permission. Weekdays - A typical weekday would be 30 min walk/attention in the morning, 45 min to 1 hour playtime/walk at lunch, and a full evening of company. Generally I like to take dog on short walk right after work with a longer walk/playtime at the dog park in the cooler hours of evening. I LOVE to play ball/frisbee! While I do work 9-5 on weekdays, my office is a 3 min drive so giving your pup one hour of attention midday is standard. I also have some flexibility to work half or whole days from home if your pup needs the extra company. Time I'll spend with your dog For travel sitting, dogs will get taken out a minimum of 3x per day with a long walk (or just some attention for those who don't need walks) in the evening (minimum of 1 hour). If necessary, I can accommodate more time. HOWEVER, for the BEST experience for your dog, consider leaving him at my apartment. They will be safe and comfortable and will receive much more attention. Showers and showers of it! If this is still something you are unsure about, message me and let's talk. I am always willing to figure out a solution that works for owner, dog, and myself.
