I grew up with a family dog, Chipper, who was member of the family in every way. He followed my brother and I everywhere while we were growing up. As an adult, my husband and I adopted Sydney, an Australian Cattle Dog, from the Humane Society. She had major behavioral issues in the beginning but after dog training and a stint at Canine Experience outside of Seattle, she blossomed and became a very well-behaved and happy dog. I no longer live with Sydney because my husband and I divorced. I love animals of all kinds and am compassionate, patient and kind. I also understand the pack dynamics of dogs and that they need their humans to be strong leaders who make them feel safe and secure.
