Daily Dog Walking/Pet /Home Care

Pet care experience

I am a pet lover, 5-star dog walker, and pet owner who will take outstanding care of your animal family, as well as your home. I am ethical, respectful and reliable - and will be at your house even in bad weather. I have years of experience with caring for fish, large dogs, horses & livestock, as well as small animals such as rats, ferrets and guinea pigs. I will maintain contact with you throughout your absence, by providing daily/per visit updates and photos. So, if you live in the Harpers Ferry, Charles Town, Ranson, Martinsburg area, or in any of the areas between those locations and would like more information, please reach out to me through this website. I am happy to provide a custom estimate, or schedule a consultation. Please note the following: I will make adjustments to my daily rate/per visit rate for multiple pets, so if you have more than 2 pets, please reach out to me for custom pricing, as I do not want to overcharge, and the Rover pricing may become confusing. As a general rule, the more pets you have, the lower the per/pet rate will be. Additionally, I do not charge extra for cats, or small animals that live within the home of dogs that I have been booked to walk, drop in on, or provide daily care to. My cancellation policy is as follows: - 24 hours, advanced notice - Full Refund - Day of Cancellations - $14 convenience fee will be charged, to make up for lost booking space, but I will refund any remaining payments*. *Emergency Cancellations are assessed on an individual basis; $14 convenience fee may be fully refunded depending on the circumstances, or price may be reduced during your next booking. Why I love dog sitting I have been an animal lover and pet owner for as long as I can remember. In fact, there are very few photos of me, as a child, that do not include a family pet. Growing up we had dogs, cats, rabbits and horses. My husband also worked as a Veterinary Technician for 15 years, so I am often able to call him for advice if I have questions, or concerns. Our pets are our family and we love them like children. I will treat your pets with the same love and attention that I give to my dogs. I have experience administering medication and with pets that have special needs.

Stephanie took excellent care of my 4 dogs and 1 of them is a senior with special needs. She was attentive to my fur babies and gave me updates throughout the day. She was also very accommodating and flexible with my schedule. She is dependable and trustworthy. Highly recommend!

Information Stephanie D. would like to know about your pet

I would like to know if your dog has any special needs, a history of biting, socialization issues with strangers or other animals, or if they are escape artists - so I can take extra precautions while opening and closing doors. Most of my pet families make a lists to include the following: - Vet contact information - in case of an emergency - An emergency contact for visits where you are out of town, in the event that I cannot reach you in an emergency situation - Food, or Treat Restrictions - Allergies - Food, Vitamins, Medications with a daily dosing & schedule requirements - Access to pet records, including current immunization* (*Pet records are appreciated, especially for long term stays, but not necessary if you have provided the emergency contact information for your vet.) I actually appreciate having a list to reference during the visit and you may also post your list to your Rover account. As a general rule, the more information, the better!

A typical day

Depending on the area, I will take your dog(s) for a 20-30 minute walk; depending on weather and the individual needs of your pet. Roads; with or without sidewalks and Parks are all acceptable. If your dogs are permitted to have treats, then I will give a treat at the end of each visit! I carry my own "poop bags", and will double wrap any waste and place in a designated area of your choosing. I will insure that your dogs are fed, if required, and have accessible fresh water available.
