I have had dogs since I was 13 years old and absolutely love and adore them. My mom has been a pet sitter at her own home for the past 15 years and I helped out when I lived there. We’ve (Charlie and I) pet sit for friends and family members on occasion and in the past, I volunteered at the Monmouth County SPCA. When your dog stays with us, they will be treated as though they were at home. If they sleep on the bed with you, they are welcome to sleep in our bed. They can curl up and watch TV on the couch and enjoy a ton of petting. Most important of all, they will be comfortable, happy and loved. We have experience with senior dogs who had medication needs, so if your dog falls in this category it will be no problem at all. We will be attentive to their every need. I look forward to going for several walks per day; we have a 1 mile loop around a lake down the street; we loved taking our dog to the beach or even Shark River Park. I will walk your dog as much as needed, and then some if they like; Whatever makes you most comfortable, and keeps your dog happy! If toys are more their speed, we also have a big basket of toys that they are welcome to. We prefer 1 dog at a time, unless you have multiples, so please rest assure that your dog(s) will have our full attention. We do have 1 cat: He is declawed (not by us) and appreciates hanging out with his fellow pups so long as they like him around; however he spends most of his time upstairs sunbathing. I'm also a big fan of taking pictures of pets; I will be sure to send some of your faithful friend while you are away to keep you updated on all of the fun things we do!
