I am a former veterinary assistant, currently working from home, pursuing a veterinary technician degree and licensure! I have always had pets of my own, and know how much we all love our fur-babies! I have an eight year old Australian Shepherd mix, 2 year old Rottweiler Mix, and nearly 1 year old German Shepherd of my own! I started working with all kinds of animals volunteering at a local shelter, where I was later started working full time, and I have been in the animal health and wellness field ever since! Nothing makes me happier than getting to work with animals every day, and I want that to continue even on my days off! You can count on me to not only spoil your pets will love and treats, but to know exactly what to do if any emergency arises. I have extensive experience caring for not only super fun loving, outgoing family members, but reactive and aggressive ones as well. Please do not hesitate to ask me any questions. Stephanie is such an amazing sitter for our pets; dogs and cats! One of our dogs requires daily medicine and needs short walks because of his bad knees, she cares for him without any issue and always keeps us updated! Our cats normally refuse food the first 2 days we are gone, but with Stephanie they never miss a meal (: She is compassionate, knowledgeable, and reliable. We never worry about leaving our pets in her care!
Steph is the absolute best!! She is wonderful with animals and they know to trust her instantly! She has a wonderful knowledge of dog training and working was large dogs. As a former vet tech, she is a wonderful resource. I have asked her questions about my animals numerous times and she is always so gracious at giving me her professional opinion. She goes above and beyond at anything she does. You and your animals will love her!

I know that pets thrive on structure and routine, and to minimize stress, I would love to have a preemptive conversation about how your routine structure is already based with your pet. I am happy to take long walks, or to lounge and cuddle on the couch.

Please let me know of any conditions your pet my have, even something as simple of allergies or a history of stressed induced upset tummy can be super helpful. If your pet struggles with reactivity or aggression in any way, it is super important to know as well. I promise you'll hear no judgement, pets have just as much if not more personality than people, and we all have preferences! Knowing those ahead of time will just help me to understand your pet better, and give me the opportunity to learn how you manage those situations for consistentcies sake.
A typical day
I love to see your dogs using their brains! Mental stimulation is proven to be more tiring than physical exercise alone. I love to play brain games, do doggy puzzles and even work on some of your obedience commands.

Availability
I currently work from home, and work a very flexible schedule which will allow me to take my time with your babies to care for any and all of their needs. I am unable to provide full overnights for house sitting because I do have children and pets of my own. I am able to spend the majority of the day, and the evening in your home, but will have to leave for the night.
