Pet care experience
I've had dogs my whole life: my first was Fleur the footballing wire-haired Dachshund who had legendary dribbling skills, then came Rhubarb the tennis ball-obsessed Patterdale terrier who travelled everywhere with me in a bike basket and nicked the warm spot on the sofa the second you got up. And now we have Bandit, a Collie cross pup whose smarts are matched only by his energy levels! Just like them, your dog will be treated like one of the family. My house has a secure garden and is ideally located within a minute's walk of west London's best dog-walking park, Wormwood Scrubs. I like to vary walks as much as possible, regularly using Holland Park, Kensington Gardens, Hyde Park, Hampstead Heath and Richmond Park too. I also drive out of town to Burnham Beeches and Windsor Great Park. I believe that variety is the spice of life and love nothing more than sharing the great outdoors with a pack of like-minded pooches. I also offer grooming on site - I have regular visits from a qualified dog groomer so you can drop your pooch off in the morning and get them back at the end of the day tired, happy AND beautifully coiffed! Pick-ups and drop-offs can also be arranged for an extra fee, depending on distance. I highly recommend a meeting before you engage my services so that we can discuss your dog's needs, and I can gauge how he or she will fit in with the rest of the pack. A secure dog is a happy dog!

Nikki had the most fabulous time staying with Steph and her family. Nikki whines and whimpers with delight when seeing Steph, who truly does a fantastic job caring for and playing with her. Our dog is so happy I think she feels she has two homes. Thanks Steph!
Another very happy stay with Steph! Tayto clearly had lots of fun and enjoyed himself so much that I think he was a bit annoyed when I picked him up to take him home! Thanks again! Tayto is very much looking forward to next time. X
Remy had such a lovely time with Steph and the other lovely dogs she had that day. Steph loves dogs and is so good with them! He had 2 walks and apparently played non-stop with one of his new doggy friends. I cannot recommend Steph more highly, both Remy and I really enjoyed the whole experience, and can’t wait to book with her again!
Nikki has a wonderful time every time she visits Steph. She can't wait. In fact I am almost convinced that she'd rather live there with her! Steph is fabulous with Nikki and you can see in Nikki's face just how much she enjoys her time out and about with Steph rather than in her dad's boring old office :)

No real breed preferences but we do love terriers - we sadly recently lost our much loved Patterdale. As I take a lot of puppies the only thing I insist on is that a puppy is fully house trained before he or she starts with me. I also can't take un-neutered males above the age of 12 months. Other than that I ask you to let me know how far they are trained, what commands they respond to, and in particular how they behave both on the lead and off. Do they pull? How's their recall? I ask you to be open and honest about any behavioural issues they might have so that I can work out how to manage them for their safety and your peace of mind. If they experience separation anxiety please let me know. I can and will handle most things except aggression or incessant barking.
A typical day
A huge variety of London parks: Wormwood Scrubs, Little Wormwood Scrubs, Kensington Gardens, Holland Park, Hyde Park, Green Park, Hampstead Heath, Chiswick House, Richmond Park. I also regularly travel out of town for extra long walks in places like Windsor Great Park and Burnham Beeches. For dogs who love to play 'fetch' I do specific ball-play sessions. For dogs who stay over they are with me virtually all the time and go wherever I go (if you want them to), whether it's to a BBQ at friends' or walking to an edit in Soho via three London parks, which they all love. Every dog will also be played with in the house and garden by my 10 year old daughter who has known dogs her whole life. We will cuddle them, love them and generally treat them like a member of the family, which is what they will become.
