Pet care experience
I have experience working and volunteering at animal shelters and animal rehabilitation facilities. I've always had a strong connection to animals and treat every one as my own. There was never a time in my life where I didn't have a dog. I specialize in agressive dog breeds and I am very patient. I spend most of my time outdoors but love to snuggle up with a pooch and a book anytime. I have experience with puppy training and senior care. I am respectful of owners wishes at all times and I am very strict with routine. I have a Pitbull and a German Shepherd who have lots of energy! I also have 2 lazy cats and I am skilled in caring for amphibians, reptiles, birds and rabbits as well. Being away from your fur baby is stressful enough. I'm here to make sure you don't worry about a thing!

Steph has done a great job taking care of our active German Shepherd and two cats, on multiple occasions. Although we are relatively new to the area and hadn't used a pet-sitter before, Steph took time to come by the house a couple of times to meet us and get to know our dog beforehand. Although he can be a handful and is intimidating to strangers, Steph was able to handle our dog and build a friendly and trusting relationship with him. When we went on a week long vacation, we trusted Steph to check in on the pets multiple times a day for feedings, play session, walks, bathroom breaks, etc. We were happy to see that she did an excellent job and has always been reliable, professional and trustworthy. We've had a great experience with Steph and wouldn't hesitate to recommend her for taking care of your pets.
I'm so happy to have found Steph. She is really great with my two dogs - one of which loves to bark at new people. She took the time to do multiple visits with us to get to know the dogs before her first solo visit. She has been very responsive and flexible. My schedule changes often and I frequently have last minute requests. She has been great to work work.
I'm so lucky to have found Stephanie. I have a German Shepherd & 3 cats. I'm still relatively new to my area & don't know many people, especially someone I'd trust to be in my home & look after my pets. I wanted to go away for a few days & knew the best option was for someone to not only come into my home throughout the day but also stay at night so my dog wouldn't be lonely. Stephanie came to my home a few times before my trip so she & my dog would be comfortable together. It all worked out so well. Stephanie & I kept in touch throughout my trip, & she even sent pics of my pets. When I got home my dog didn't care I was home . . . she was looking for Stephanie. LOL. My pets were all happy, & my house looked the same as when I left it. I couldn't have asked for a better pet sitter. I'm already making more travel plans since I know I can rely on Stephanie. She's not only a great pet sitter but a pretty cool person, too. 😊
Steph was great. She was on time for the "meet and great" visit and she was obviously experienced with dogs. She sent us photos while we were away and even brought a playmate for our pup, Klaus. We are very grateful to be able to enjoy a day away from the house w/out worrying about whether Klaus was lonely.

It's important for me to know the routine you have for your dog so I can adhere to that to reduce stress. Any allergies or special needs is important. I also need to know any particulars such as if you make them sit before taking them outside or if they sleep in a crate at night; anything specific to make them feel as if nothing has changed would be helpful. I also like to know these things to respect you as the client.
A typical day
I easily pick up the pets energy and mannerisms which helps me distinguish what they’re into. If they prefer lounging around all day then I’ll plop up next to them and give them a personal massage. If they want to go sprint a marathon, I’ll be along side them for that as well. I would never force an animal to do something it doesn’t want to do. With some it takes time to get use to a stranger’s company and I have all the patience in the world.
