We will do our best to accommodate different needs and preferences. 2. Safety, safety, safety! We will take the necessary precautions to keep your precious fur-baby safe. No matter how well-behaved and friendly our dogs are, they will only interact under our supervision so we are there to immediately intervene if any unexpected accidents happen. 3. We will provide the physical exercise, mental stimulation, and social interactions your dog needs. A happy dog is a tired dog; it is very important for us to make sure your dog is happy and burning off their energy physically and mentally. They won't be sitting in a crate all day everyday like they will at most commercial dog boarding facilities. 4. We strive to keep a clean, hygienic, and hazard-free environment. The indoor space is cleaned everyday, we wash the dog food & water bowls every other day, the yard is flea & tick free, and also we avoid using any chemicals (cleaning supplies, fragrances, toys) that are toxic to dogs. 5. A reliable partner, for you and the dog - Dogs find comfort and stability from a regular schedule, from feedings to physical exercise. We are committed to following your dog's routine at home and fostering healthy habits for your pup's physical and mental wellness. - We will share updates 2-3 times throughout the day, with lots of photos and videos along with a message about how your baby is doing, a fun story to share, or any issues we need to let you know about. You will know your pup is in good hands, having a great time! We will also respect your wishes and will do our best to follow instructions. Hi fellow dog parents, congratulations! Growing up, I had 1 dog and 2 cats (and many other small furry friends) over the course of 20 years, which really shaped my love for animals. They taught me what it’s like to give and take unconditional love, as well as what it means to be responsible for a life. Nate, my partner in crime, has been around animals his whole life and has yet to meet one that hasn't melted his heart. We have 2 lovely dogs at home, one 7-year-old pit bull (Drake) and one 3-year-old Australian Shepherd mix (Fudge). They are both friendly and loves to play with other dogs. Fudge is a little cautious with dogs (and men) that are bigger than him, but with slow and careful introduction, he has no issue with the big fellas. Our pups were adopted from a rescue with little training, so we definitely had to work my way up to teach them manners and tricks! Before we started Rover, we used to foster rescue dogs through Paws Chicago. We absolutely loved it and wanted to meet new dogs and give them the love they deserve with the skills we learned through the experience. From homemade treats and meals to handling dogs of all ages and sizes and administering meds, we’ve got experience with it all!
