Pet care experience
I'm available to look after your dogs, cats, rabbits, horses, alpacas, chickens, tortoises, goats, pigs, & co. Over 20 years of experience in puppy raising, obedience and trick training, and working with different dog breeds. I have also worked with and trained chickens, rabbits, and horses. Calm, patient, fun activities, and lots of cuddles. First Aid for pets, enhanced DBS, and insured. I grew up with dogs and have cared for them from a young age. I helped raise puppies from birth, trained them, taught them tricks, and have taken them on many adventures. I love the outdoors so even in rain I'll be out for long walks. I have looked after other's dogs many times while the owners were at work or on vacation and they all have a special place in my heart and I'm getting sad when it's time to leave newly won furry friends but also happy seeing all the progress they've made and all the memories. I have had the opportunity to work with a large variety of breeds and ages and so have experience with lively aussies, stubborn cockers, sweet staffies, playful retrievers, velcro doodles, dogs with separation anxiety, and many more.

Stella did a wonderful job taking care of our two dogs. We had a meet and greet session beforehand which was a great opportunity for the dogs get a first contact and for everyone to ask questions. It helped a lot on avoiding separation anxiety on them! Stella have a deep understanding of dogs behaviour and a genuine love for pets. On the pet sitting itself, our dogs were super happy and well looked after. She exceeded our expectations on her dedication to their well being. We highly recommend her services!
Stella was a great success with Badger. I was anxious because when I leave him he can get agitated but he relaxed from the moment she arrived. He sat beside her, she gently stroked him and he dozed beside her. They then had great playtime in the garden, went for a long walk and when I returned in the evening he was asleep. I received some lovely photos. Stella clearly has a great rapport and understanding of dogs, and a mountain of experience. She was very careful and sensible. I would highly recommend her and am hoping that we will be able to to have further sessions in the future.
Stella was amazing. Super attentive and kept us updated throughout the day with photos and videos! I would recommend Stella to everyone - our dog loved Stella, and we would look to hire her again at any point!

I currently don't offer boarding and having pets at my place. Before looking after your pet, I like to meet up prior to agreeing for the sit/walk if possible to get to know them and know where I can find items needed. If in exception cases no meeting is possible due to short notice requests or me being away, I offer video calls. I offer to send photos and video snippets and always keep an eye on anything that might be wrong to keep the owner informed. Pets are left with plenty of water and the diet the owner wrote down. Happy to also water your plants while you're away! :)

Please let me know of the dog's personality and any health problems he might have. If he is a large dog, he needs to have especially good leash manners. Equally, I want to hear about possible triggers, reactions, and quirks to expect.
A typical day
I love to give your dog a variety of experiences. Play, cuddles, giving them time to smell, but also teach or improve their skills and have them walk nicely. If your dog is fine off leash and has good recall, social time and play with other dogs can be included as well as retrieving balls etc to tire them out. I offer group walks of 2-4 dogs if they all live in the same area and are walking well on the leash.

Availability
AVAILABILITY from April 2024 I currently don't have availability on Mon & Wed, but have dog walking/drop in spots available during lunch time Tue/Thu/Fri in Arbury & afternoon walks/sits from 4pm in Histon & Cambridge. Weekend sits, walks & drop ins from Fri 4pm - Sun 2/3pm in Histon, Cambridge, Wider London. I take bookings 1-2 months or less in advance. If you're located outside main Cambridge, there will be an additional fee to cover bus/train/taxi tickets. Please note that I do not have a car and use public transport and my legs to pick up/visit pets. The sitting rates are only partly set. At times and depending on the pet's needs I can adjust the cost slightly downwards. Pawsitive Poppins
