Pet care experience
A little bit about myself: I am originally from West Virginia, but relocated to Asheville seven years ago. I grew up with all sorts of pets in the home and have been a pet owner myself for many years now. I have been volunteering at local shelters and fostering animals in need since I was 16. I was previously employed at an animal shelter and pet store for two years while living in Wv. Since moving to Asheville, I have began taking on more pet sitting clients. While also continuing to foster and help out with local rescues. Through my years of experience I have learned to work with dogs and cats of all sizes and temperaments. I have experience with timid, shy animals as well as hyper-active. I have the patience and energy it takes to adjust to new clients. I understand pets prefer to be at home with their owners, and know how important it is to help them transition into a new environment while being separated from their owners. I have experience will animals besides just cats and dogs! I am available to look after horses, chickens, rabbits, pigs, fish, and just about any type of animal when staying at a client’s home. Working with a variety of different clients through Rover has helped me to gain even more experience over the years. I have several repeat clients that I have met through this platform. I offer discounted rates for repeat clients. If you have any questions about myself, my dog, my home, or anything else feel free to message me!
Reviews
Stell did an amazing job watching my fur babies! She made me feel at ease leaving them for a week. She communicated daily with pictures and updates. I will definitely be using her again!
Stell took great care of our dog Hank, who was recently diagnosed with diabetes. She was great with his food/medicine schedule and made sure to send us updates and photos.
Great communication. My pup enjoyed playing in her yard and with her dog.
Stell was wonderful with Bobo!

I have a cozy single story house with a screened in sunroom and large fenced in yard. Our yard is a big reason I am able to care for dogs regularly. There is plenty of space for dogs to play and explore. The yard is also wrapped completely around the house. This helps to ensure dogs are safely secured incase they have a habit of slipping out of the door. I allow pets on the furniture and in the beds, unless stated otherwise by the owners. I have three roommates, all of whom love to help care for any pets staying in our home. We all collectively make sure they are loved, exercised, and looked after properly. When staying in a client's home, I make sure that the pets I am looking after feel comfortable and are being care for properly. I am very respectful of the client's space and privacy when it comes to their home.

Information Stell B. would like to know about your pet
I am open to any breed of dogs, as well as activity level (hyper active or laid back). If a dog will be staying at my home, I do like to know what their activity levels and specials requirements may be. This helps to determine if the dog will be a good fit with my daily plans for the boarding dates. I also ask that if your dog will be staying in my home, that they must be dog AND cat friendly. I have a dog and a cat who I want to ensure are safe while other dogs are staying with us.
A typical day
I live in a quiet and safe neighborhood fifteen minutes from downtown. I walk my dog around our the subdivision daily. We have two walks that we choose from, depending on the exercise needed. I will occasionally take my dog to Carrier Park for a change in scenery. Your dog would be included in all of our daily activities. I have a very large fenced in yard. So when we aren’t doing walks, dogs will have access to a large outdoor space. We allow my dog and client’s pets to go outside frequently throughout the day. The dogs love having access to a large area to play and explore in. We also have a screened in sunroom in the back of the house. A lot of dogs really enjoy this space because it allows them to get fresh air while coming in and out of the house as they please. We have all sorts of toys and bones (if permitted) that your dog would be allowed to play with as well. Every once in a while we will go on the parkway for a walk on the trails or to the dog park. I always ask clients if their dogs are permitted to partake in trail walks or dog parks prior to taking them.

I am currently working part time downtown. When I’m not at work, I spend most of my time at home with my dog doing things around the house. I have a routine with him that I can easily add additional dogs too. This includes waking up early to feed and let him out, play time in the yard, daily walks around the neighborhood, and quality time in the house in the evening. I do however understand that some dogs have different schedules and am willing to adjust my schedule in order to accommodate them.
