Pet care experience
I am a graduate of the Parkland College Veterinary Technician program as well as 3 years of kennel experience. This has given me an advantage in first-aid, medication administration, and special needs animals. I will provide updates on your pet (text and picture if requested). I have experience with many different species such as sheep, goats, horses, cows, reptiles, rats and mice, fish, guinea pigs, and rabbits. Depending on the species that needs looked after, our activities are subject to change. In regards to dogs, I love all breeds and I feel comfortable with all temperaments including shy, dog-aggressive, and/or people-aggressive. With that said, pet safety is my #1 priority, so full disclosure of any personality quirks is necessary. I look forward to taking care of your animals!

Steffen was born with a passion for animals. He's known since he was little that he wanted to care for them. He's educated, organized, and passionate. Steffen's knowledge of animals is vast. He can treat animals based on Vet requirements which is huge plus. He knows when animals aren't feeling well and how to care for them which makes them feel better. Steffen is affectionate to all animals ...to the point where they don't miss their owners. When you hire Steffen your pet will be on vacation too.

I don't have any breed restrictions. Before taking care of a dog, I would like to meet it and get a feel for their temperament and activity level. This allows me to get a better idea of the "do's" and "don'ts" for each individual dog. I would also like to know of any medical conditions, harmful or otherwise, and to see a copy of their last vaccination visit. Unvaccinated animals won't be turned away, but I need to be aware of their vaccine status for potential social interaction with other animals.
A typical day
We will go on regular walks in your area. If longer walks are desired, I am willing to give notice as to how far and where we will be going, so nervous parents can be at ease! Play time and snacks, in accordance with dietary needs, are guaranteed.

For many years as a veterinary technician, and even when I worked as a kennel assistant, ensuring that pets were well taken care of and meeting their needs no matter how challenging was always one of my number one priorities. This could range from something as simple as routine outings, to regular medication administration, to special meal prep because a pet has to have their food be just right.
