I've owned three dogs in my lifetime and they've all been as different as you can get-- a chocolate lab, a Maltese, and a Great Dane. I recently relocated from San Diego to Philadelphia and am still getting to know the city. While living in San Diego, I volunteered at Rancho Coastal Humane society as a Level 2 dog handler, and attend their training classes when possible. I am looking to get involved with local shelters in the area, and participate in a similar way. I'm all about the reward system; I like to give lots of treats to encourage good behavior. When a dog misbehaves, rather than get scolded, they get ignored. All a dog wants is your attention and I'm happy to provide that! I can work on their mental stimulation as well with commands and activities. I understand that some dogs warm up to you faster than others, and I'm happy to go at whatever pace they need. I am flexible, so I'm happy to visit the dog at your home if you feel they would be more comfortable there. Let me know what you need and we'll work it out!
