Hello pet parents! My name is Starlin, I use they/them pronouns. During the last five years working on farms in Northern California, I've worked with all manner of chickens, ducks, pigs, horses, dairy cows, sheep, and goats, not to mention their many dog and cat guardians. Working with these often-skittish farm animals, I learned how subtle differences in body language can put your animal friends at ease. I can create a safe environment where we can develop a relaxed relationship between caretaker and pet, whether you need help with a dog, cat, rabbit, guinea pig, snake, turtle, or fish! I offer free Meet and Greet consultations before the first booking of any pet sitting, drop-in visits, or dog walking. These are quick sessions that ensure that I have all the information I need to keep your pet safe and healthy. After you’ve gotten all of your questions answered, I am happy to step in and lend a hand so that your cuties have the best possible care and enjoy life to the fullest! PET SITTING IN YOUR HOME As a pet sitter, I am happy to care for your cats, dogs, hamsters, guinea pigs, and more! Each day that you are away, I will • visit with your dogs for a 30-minute walk in the morning and in the evening. • make short, frequent walks for young puppies, according to your request. • pet and play with your cats or small pets for at least 30 minutes twice a day. • replenish bowls with clean water and a meal morning and evening, or as requested. • send you photos of their pretty faces each day. You can ask me to spend the night in your home or not, depending on your comfort level. I take pride in leaving clients’ homes at least as clean as I found them, and if you are a plant parents as well, I’ll keep them happy, too! DROP-IN VISITS I also offer once-a-day drop-ins while you are away or at work. Each day, I will • visit with your dogs for a 30-minute walk. • pet and play with your cats for 30 minutes, depending on the cat. • send you cute photos of them having a blast! This option is great for more independent pets who don’t need quite as much care while you are away. It is also a wonderful option for younger dogs who are just beginning to get used to potty training or for older dogs who need an extra pee break in the middle of the day. If I arrive and find that your pup just couldn’t hold it, I’ll still take them out for some fresh air, and you won’t have the hassle of picking up after them when you get back home from your trip or from work. DOG WALKING Last but certainly not least, you can take a load off while I take your dog out for a jaunt. During 30-minute walks, I will • walk or jog according to your dogs’ energy level. • allow plenty of time for sniffing and exploring their environment. • bring organic dog treats (with your permission), as well as biodegradable waste bags. • provide clean water for your dog. • always keep your dog on the leash. I walk dogs rain or shine, but I cancel in case of lightening or severe weather. Walks will be shortened in case of extreme heat; however, this can often be avoided by scheduling early in the morning or later in the evening.
