Pet care experience
I prefer animals over people, but you’d never know it. I’m a great communicator, with people and animals. I strive to make the animals in my care happy and comfortable. You can breathe a sigh of relief when I’m the one taking care of your fur children. I’ve had all types of animals myself and have worked at an animal shelter. Currently I have 2 cats, a horse, a Plott hound, a Border Collie, and a Pit Bull. At one time I had 5 horses, goats, pigs, and chickens to care for. Big animals don’t scare me, so bring on your Rottweilers and Mastiffs, I’m OK with that. Pets are like little angels, so pure and honest. They just want to please us. It makes me happy to return the favor.

Stacy is always the best! She plays with the cats and always sends lots of photos! She's our go-to 100% when we are out of town to take care of our kitties!
Stacy was great. She took pictures everyday and gave us great updates on our cats while we were away. We will definitely be hiring her again when we are out of town to look after our cats!

When I care for an animal in my client’s home I try to stick to the pet’s feeding and exercise schedule as best I can. I feel like giving the animals pets or playtime if they want it, is just as important as the basics like feeding. My goal is to keep your pet’s stress level minimal. It’s hard enough for them when you’re gone.

I appreciate it when clients tell me about their pets personality. I like to know what kinds of things make their pet happy, and what bothers them. It helps to know if dogs get along with other dogs (so I know when we are waking). If they are friendly to strangers, if they have any weird quirks like chasing cars.
A typical day
I love taking dogs for walks! It’s a great adventure for both of us. If a pet seems anxious or bored, I try my hardest to engage them in their favorite activity. I really want to make the time they spend with me enjoyable.

Availability
Pet care is makes up the majority of my working day. I try to be 100% present for each pet I take care of since this is my job and animals always deserve my full attention. I have 2 cats and 3 dogs at home, and of course, my husband to take care of too.
