Caring Dependable Pet-Sitter/Walker

Pet care experience

I've loved dogs since I got my first one at the age of 5 and have always felt a connection with them. At parties, you will most likely find me giving attention to the family dog over talking to people. If I see a dog while I’m out, I have to say “look at that guy” in a goofy voice and then go over and say hello to them, naturally. I honestly do not understand people who say they don’t like dogs. This is who I am - a dog lover that will put your dog first. I have a Boston Terrier/Puggle mix named Cooper that I treat like my child. I recently lost my beagle, Ravioli of 14 years, and miss him terribly everyday. (I gotta say, while I love all breeds - beagles will always have a special place in my heart.) Through the last few years of his life, he had many health problems and I had to dispense medicine to him multiple times a day and clean up after him. I don’t mind taking care of senior or sick dogs - in fact, I probably have the most compassion for them. I am also certified in pet first aid and CPR by the American Red Cross. I have cared for friends' and family members' pets for as long as I can remember and have about 6 years of professional pet sitting experience. I always give the pets I care for my undivided attention and care. I will treat your pets how I'd want mine to be treated when I can't be with him. I am very compassionate when it comes to dogs and have and will ALWAYS stop and track down a loose dog’s owner, no matter what, even while on vacation. I will care for your fur babies as I do my own. Hope to meet you and your pups (or kitties!) soon! **NOTE — if you would like a walk and feeding in one visit, please select dog walk instead of drop in visit.

Stacy did an amazing job taking care of my senior cat Max, I highly recommend her services! She was very professional, kept me well informed, sent lots of pictures, and I was able to enjoy my trip knowing Max was really well taken care of! I will definitely be rebooking in the future! Thank you Stacy!

Stacy was amazing with our 9mo golden! Took her on AM and PM walks while my husband was away as I’m 8mo pregnant. Stacy was so patient with our dog even when she was being a “teenager” and not listening

Absolutely will be using Stacy often!! I felt completely comfortable with her in my home and caring for my dog and cat. She gave detailed updates and photos after each visit. Already have her on books for next month.

I prefer to do meet and greets so that you and your dog(s) can meet me and make sure it’s a good fit for all of us. I like to go over what they like, don’t like, normal walking route and distance, and if they are allowed to have treats and ice cubes. I understand this is not always possible in last minute situations and I ask if that’s the case to please send me very specific information. I will always put your dog’s safety first so when we walk, I will do my best to avoid other dogs in case of any adverse interactions and I won’t give your pets treats without your approval in case of special diets or allergies.

Information Stacy D. would like to know about your pet

I would like to know if a dog has ever been vicious to strangers or not before watching him and also if there are any triggers that have caused him to "freak out". I love all breeds, but especially beagles and Boston terriers!

A typical day

I like to walk my clients their normal distances* and routes so I will always ask you where/how far that normally is. The first few minutes of my visit is usually a warming period of making sure they remember me and feel safe with me by giving them attention and treats if they are allowed to have them and then going on our walk. I always save a few minutes for more attention and treats at the end of the visit too. For distances of more than 1 mile, please book a 60 minute visit. I can walk a comfortable 1.5 miles in 30 minutes but like to have that cushion time for getting to know your dog and make them feel safe before and after the walk.
