I'm Stacia and my husband, James, and I have a loving and dog-friendly home ready for your furkid. I have done small dog rescue on and off for years and I have 3 small rescue dogs who are friendly and enjoy the company of other dog friends. I have worked with dogs with various issues over the years and taught several dogs to walk on leashes. We do have a fenced yard, but we don't allow dogs out unattended, as small dogs can get into trouble with the local wildlife. Dogs in this home are part of the family and we try to treat them as you would treat them in your home. If they are allowed on the furniture at home and sleep in bed with you at home, they will do so here if you like. We want you to be comfortable with us and we want your dog to be comfortable as well, so whatever he or she is allowed to do at home, we will try to allow here. We also like to do a free meet and greet to make sure we're comfortable with your dog and you're comfortable with us and our home. We want what's best for you and your dog so you're feeling confident while away and don't have to spend time worrying about your beloved pet. We are dog people and have always had dogs in our home and will love your dog like he or she is our own. We have lots of comfy dog beds and blankets in the house and in my office, where I work from home part-time. We also have lots of dog toys for everyone to play with while staying. I'm confident your dog will have a fun time with us and if you just need a walk or a drop-in visit, I'm happy to provide that as well. I am fully insured and bonded and have done several animal behavior classes. I am also Pet First Aid and Pet CPR certified. I did this so I could be professional and have a better idea of what to do in case of emergency. I want you to feel comfortable having your dog stay with us or go out with me for a walk or have a drop-in visit. I am constantly working to better myself and my abilities to care for animals. I prefer a meet and greet (free) to make sure we are on the same page and get to know you and your pet and make sure they get along with our dogs. Although we love large-breed dogs, we currently do not board dogs over 25-30 pounds because of our own tiny dogs and in consideration of the small dogs we board, but we do offer a vacation package of 3 visits per day (early morning, afternoon and late night) for a discounted rate if you have a larger dog or boarding is full.
