I was a dog owner of rescued pit bulls for over 13 years. I am passionate about animals, ESPECIALLY dogs large or small. I had a part time dog walking business called Tails on Trails for a couple of years. I love dogs and appreciate how they think and what they need to be happy. I once had a special needs dog who could not have any direct eye contact. She would put her head under the owner's bed and have only her bottom self hanging out. I would sit not facing her, and read to her . Over time she became more trusting. It felt like a sweet little victory when she started interacting with me and allowing me to look at her! .
