Pet care experience
My partner, Chris, and I have had our gorgeous black male Labrador, Billy, since he was a puppy. We took him to individualised puppy training from a gun-dog specialist to primarily work on his recall and heel work. Billy is such a lovable and gentle boy who LOVES playing and caring for other dogs. He is 3 years old and is excellently behaved with exceptional recall. He loves nothing more than human cuddles in the morning and evening and playing with his array of toys! Before Billy, Chris and I always lived with dogs and have experience looking after family pets especially Labradors, Retrievers and Spaniels.

Stacey took such great care of our dog Harvey, he absolutely loves her!! He is now great friends with her lovely lab Billy, and gets so excited every time he sees him. Stacey is great with dogs, really friendly and reliable. I would 100% recommend her to any dog looking for a holiday!

We have a completely secure back garden (no back entrance) which is secure with fencing and brick walls. The front garden is smaller with a patio area and a small gate to give access to the property. The house is a semi-detached Victorian cottage which has heaps of character and a log burner to keep your pooch warm in Winter! The cottage is set in the idyllic Forest of Dean and is less than 600m from open woodland which has lots of walks. We are also less than 30 minutes from The Cotswolds and are very knowledgeable of this area for walks having lived there for 10+ years. We have a large car (with a dog guard) which can fit 2 dogs in the boot.

Please let me know if your dog has anything I should be made aware of before the stay (behavioural needs). My preferred dog breeds are: Labrador, Retrievers, Spaniels but I am happy to host other dogs :)
A typical day
Billy is walked in the local area (woodland and forest) or slightly further afield if it is a weekend (or when the evenings are lighter!) I also play with Billy throughout the day and allow him to sleep when he needs to. Billy loves a pupaccino and he will often have this as a treat when we stop by a coffee shop.

Availability
I am a local primary school teacher so am freer during the school holidays but overnight stays in the week would be no problem. Chris works from home (in a self-contained office) 3-4 times a week so would be around to check in on your dog (as he does with Billy). We often meet up with our friends who have dogs so that they can all play together!
