Pet care experience

I've been caring for puppies and dogs from a very young age when my family welcomed a puppy called Prince into our home. Very sadly, Prince is no longer with us and has crossed over rainbow bridge however he will always have a special place in my heart as my first ever dog. Since then, I've helped to look after my sisters dog, Bonnie, on a regular basis. Bonnie is currently two years old and a very hyper but lovable miniature poodle. I've been involved in Bonnie's care from the moment that we met which has included everything from training and walking to bathing and playing. I'm able to administer medication and ensure that your fur baby is properly fed and hydrated. My experience with Prince means that I have experience with senior fur babies too and their individualised needs. Senior care is so different from puppy care so I'll be sure to know exactly what your fur baby needs to make them feel comfortable and safe. Although I was terrified of them when I was younger, I have additional experience with cats. Thankfully I have long overcome my initial fear and I love nothing more than the feeling of being chosen for a cuddle by a cat. As such, I'm always more than happy to care for your kitten or cat, ensuring that I know their needs and cater to these accordingly.

Stacey was amazing from start to finish with the whole process. The communication was brilliant, a couple times a day with pictures too. It was really reassuring to see him so relaxed and settled. I'll be using again, very soon. Digger seemed to love his stay and was very perky when I picked him up.

Yet another great stay with Stacey for our wee fox terrier, Noah. He had a fab time and Stacey kept us updated regularly with pics and video clips. Noah says he cant wait for his next visit!

Another great stay with Stacey for our wee fox terrier, Noah. Stacey was attentive as ever, sent on some great pics and had some great tips for games to entertain Noah - 'ditch the bowl'!. Thanks Stacey, and see you again soon!

What a positive experience to have Stacey looking after Lyon. She took such great care to understand his needs and fit in with his routine. She made time for a meet and greet which really helped Lyon settle in quickly when the time came. Stacey offered Lyon lots of new toys, provided lots of updates throughout our weekend so we were very reassured throughout our trip away. Thanks again, wouldn’t hesitate to book Stacey again.

Safety, trust & environment

At the moment, I live in a second floor flat which has a secure entry system in addition to both a lock and bolt on the door to the flat itself. I live with my fiancé and my sister-in-law who are both huge animal lovers too! The property I live in has a large shared secure garden, however I would always ensure that your fur baby is kept on a lead in the garden for their own safety, especially given that the garden is shared with other residents. On every visit or during each stay, I will do everything possible to make your fur baby feel comfortable, safe and loved. I will work to build up trust with them and their care will be provided on their own terms to make sure that they are as comfortable and relaxed as possible. Finally, please note that for drop in and dog walking services where I am required to come to your home, am able to attend a wider area than indicated on the map. I would estimate my radius to be approximately 1.5-2 miles so please feel free to get in touch to see if these are services I can provide to you. If you are further afield, I may have to alter prices slightly to allow for travel costs. Anything of this nature would, of course, be discussed with you beforehand to reach an agreement. Thank you!

Information Stacey M. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know if your fur baby has any special requirements beforehand where possible. I'm happy to cater to anything I can, including health conditions, anxious fur babies and dietary requirements. If you have any questions at all, please reach out. I'm always happy to chat!

A typical day

On a typical day, I would meet your fur baby and introduce myself with some cuddles should they wish. After that, I find the best way to settle a dog into a new environment is to take them a short walk around the area for no longer than 10-15 minutes. After all, meeting someone new and going somewhere you've never been before can be scary! Going for a short walk allows them to become familiar with the new sights, smells and sounds of the area. Once we've had a walk, we'll go back to my home and start to get settled in for the day. We'll have a treat or two and an explore of the home - there's lots to see and discover in someone else's home! Once settled, we'll have a rest to relax after all the excitement and maybe some cuddles. Once we've built up some energy again, we'll have a play with some toys and have a proper meal before going for a longer walk. There's loads of beautiful walks nearby to suit everyone, including parks and a nature reserve! We'll then pop home again to chill, play and wait for pickup time! If boarding, we would relax, play, have some dinner a bit later on then settle down for the evening to make sure we're all ready for bed. It's a dogs life! I hope that it goes without saying but throughout any day, whether walking, sitting or boarding, plenty of updates and photos will be sent to you so you can feel at ease that your fur baby is safe and happy.
