Pet care experience
I am an Animal Control Officer for two large VT towns. We work alongside residents, owners, humane societies, and other organizations to ensure pets are in the best possible situations. I have attended many Animal Welfare and Pet Handling trainings in the VT area. I live in Winooski, VT but have my own transportation to be able to serve other areas. I have experience safely transporting animals, administering medications, and making sure animals in my care are safe, fed, and happy. I can help bathe or train dogs, and have cared for many senior animals (including my own). Through my job I have been responsible for dogs, cats, guinea pigs, chinchillas, rabbits, birds, and a number of reptiles. On a more personal note, I grew up with dogs and cats (and some other more scaly animals). I have two cats— Noodle, who is 4, and Callie, who is 17. They have very different dietary, activity, and socialization needs, and I am able to navigate that quite well. I have a BS in Animal Sciences from UVM.

Stacey was absolutely wonderful! Our cat requires medication at specific times and she was reliable and timely. We didn't have service while we were away and it was great to know he was in good hands. We'll absolutely be using Stacey again in the future!

We are very pleased with the care Stacey gave our 3 cats. We loved seeing the pictures and reading their report card every night. She even won over the trust of our shyest cat within a couple of days. Definitely will have Stacey care for our little ones again.

Different play styles, walks, or activities can keep pets interested and make sure they're getting that daily enrichment. I am COVID vaccinated and can manage any social distancing or masking requests.

Before caring for an animal, I want to know anything their family thinks is important. Does your dog like other dogs, or feel unsafe walking down the street towards them? Do your pets have any medications, dietary restrictions, or conditions I should be made aware of? As a pet owner and as someone who works with animals on a daily basis, if you as the owner think it is important, it is! Knowing the full picture will make care that much easier.
A typical day
I can provide your pets with mental and physical enrichment on a daily basis! Taking into consideration the age and energy level of the pet, as well as their personality, I am able to tailor-fit activities and exercise with them. These activities could include walking, training, playing with toys, going to parks or nature walks, and more. My own cats get playtime with toys, enrichment with treats or games, catnip, and time to sit in open windows or go on leashed walks.

I do not work on weekends and can flex my 40 hours during the week. If I need to come in later, leave earlier, etc. I can plan my schedule accordingly. If you have any questions about frequency or duration of visits, just ask!
