Pet care experience
Hello. I have raised and trained two dogs of my own from pups, two rescue pit bull terriers. I also worked for a very busy UWS dog walking service for 2 years walking all sorts of sizes and breeds of dogs in pack walks and single walks, this included going into client apartments, picking up and dropping off the dogs. During this time, I also gained experience walking dogs with special needs. There were two blind pugs that were part of my walk each day. I can also provide good basic training. I love dogs!!

spyro's affinity to animals was clear to me from the get go. he has years of experience with training dogs. not to mention, he is the only one my pit bull, fred, will listen to! you can feel his genuine affection and that he really enjoys spending time connecting. he has been consistently reliable, attentive, and responsible. and he has great communication with me when i am away for days at a time. i feel so relieved and grateful to have found my freddy the care that he needs! he is thriving, thanks to spyro!
A sensibility toward animals—both wild as well as companions-- is just part of Spyro’s character. His own dogs, Marty and Buster—both rescues—lived long, active lives despite the challenges of living in the city. He is highly experienced and would exercise good judgment in situations that might arise on the job unexpectedly. Spyro is the designated caretaker in my will for my own animal companions.

I have no breed preference. I love all breeds. I would want to know if the dog is friendly with other dogs. If not I would know to limit the social encounters with other dogs. I would also like to know if your dog is more friendly, or shy, or uneasy around other people. This would give me an idea of the process of getting to know your dog.
A typical day
If there is a park nearby that would be the ideal walk in my experience. I live across the street from Riverside Park, but any park near the dog parent would be ideal. Lots of smells and socialization for the dog walking experience. I also love "Chuck It" toys, like the "Squirrel" and the "Chuck It" Ball and throwing arm. I like to jog, so if your dog is up for it we could do a little of that as well.
