Pet care experience
I have been around animals and have helped care for them since I was around 10 years old. I grew up with cats and now as an adult I have three dogs. In my free time I volunteer with a local rescue, and I have fostered through the rescue or on my own taken in, vetted, then found homes for over two dozen animals combined. I was raised with so much love and empathy for all animals that I care for them as if they were my pets. I had a rover account a few years ago, but I deleted my account when I decided to legally change my name. So while I have experience being a sitter on rover, I unfortunately have no way to show my previous reviews. It would be my honor to care for your pets in whatever form needed, whether it’s boarding, drop in, walks, or daycare. Don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions! My rates are to account for rover fees. I also require a meet and greet for any dogs that would be in my home to make sure they’d get along with my dogs. We can discuss rates further during meet and greets if you’d like.

Did a great job, took great care of my dog on a late booking!
Spencer was perfect! He was very attentive and caring. My dog is a 15 year old senior with medical issues and he was super open to giving pet sitting with him a try and cared for him just as well (if not better) than we would've. Couldn't have asked for a better experience and will definitely hope to get Spencer again next time we need a trusted sitter.

Spencer has always exhibited great care and love for every animal I have seen him interact with. He is very knowledgeable and understanding with meeting unique pet needs. Our dog has a sensitive stomach, and Spencer has always remembered and respected the special diet we have him on. Spencer has also exhibited great patience and understanding with our reactive dog, and does a wonderful job in giving him a compassionate and calm atmosphere to relax and feel comfortable in.

I have a small fenced area for bathroom breaks, but the rest of my property (half an acre) is not fenced in. My own dogs are allowed off leash because they are trained, but for safety I would not allow rover dogs off leash in the non fenced portion of the yard.

Please let me know ahead of time if there are any special needs or accommodations before me confirming booking to make sure we’re on the same page. All dogs needs to be UTD on vaccines and on flea/tick treatment for boarding or doggy daycare, so please be ready to provide proof of that, thank you! Please let me know if your dog has any resource guarding or reactivity issues. It’s okay if they do, I just want to know so I can be prepared for handling it and making sure there are no issues.
A typical day
We have a big yard with an unused baseball field next to it that we love to play with the dogs in. In good weather we also love going for hikes at nearby state parks or forests. We do lots of enrichment with lick mats, puzzle feeding, etc. Plenty of toys such as balls and stuffed toys, ropes, even a flirt pole and a herding ball.

Availability
I am a stay at home dad with my 5 year old child that I homeschool, so I am available all the time. I do have occasional appointments or events, but none of it takes up much of my time. It is very easy for me to be home and tending to animals whenever needed.
