Pet care experience
We've both had pets and been asked to pet sit since we were young, including dogs, cats, and reptiles both young and old. We've taken care of many dogs who experience separation anxiety from their owners, but be assured that Ashley has the magic touch when it comes to animals of all kinds. Every animal she's come into contact with takes kindly to her thanks to her natural ability to help them feel safe, comfortable, and loved. With our years of experience and training, and her natural ability for loving and taking care of animals, we have fostered several dogs and brought home many strays here in San Antonio, sometimes caring for them for months until we can finally return them to their owner or find them another loving home. We've been to puppy care classes and learned how to properly socialize animals and we believe strongly in encouraging good behavior through love and positive reinforcement only. With our years of experience and formal training, you can count on us to give your dog the love and care she/he needs.

We have a fenced yard and 2 very friendly dogs to keep your pets company. We have cameras set up in the main rooms and backyard and front yard. We take crate-trained pets but we also can also allow dogs on the furniture and beds, whatever suits your fancy. We do have one large crate available if needed. Our very playful and friendly dog Tobi will make sure your dog gets lots of socialization and play time if needed. We know from experience that accidents do happen. In case there is an unfortunate incident where an animal is hurt, be assured knowing that Spencer has military medical training which included classes specifically on dog first-aid, and there is an emergency vet less than 30 minutes away. During just our first month of dog sitting through Rover we had multiple incidents of aggression incited by male dogs who were not neutered, requiring multiple trips to the emergency vet. Because of this, we have a policy to not board males who are not neutered. We have nothing against those who choose to not neuter their pets, but based on our experience we have decided to not board them in our home for their safety and the safety of other dogs.

We have an infant daughter, so also let us know if they have experience or any issues around children. Let us know if they are crate trained or not allowed on furniture and we will make sure to accommodate your needs. And please let us know if there are any particular tricks/behaviors you are working on, and we will do our best to encourage good behavior to help them keep good habits and prevent them forming any bad ones!
A typical day
Our dog Tobi is a friend to every dog he meets and will definitely keep your dog engaged physically. Our other dog Ringo is the best snuggler if that's what your dog prefers. We also love to take walks around the neighborhood and on a nearby nature trail which goes near a golf course and a lake. We will occasionally head over to one of multiple local dog parks for exercise and socialization.

Availability
Spencer works as a military physician and Ashley is a full-time mom and part-time massage therapist. Spencer generally work regular 8-4 hours. Aside from a 2 hours at church every Sunday and the occasional date night or gym session, at least one of us is always home.
