I've grown up with pets all my life. I currently live with and care for three dogs that have PTSD from previous owners, including a very muscular Pit Bull, a skittish Plott Hound, and a Xoloitzcuintle who thinks she's All That and can't stand dogs that don't live with her. I also love taking care of cats of all kinds of temperaments and personalities! I have taken care of animals that are going blind and deaf and have all sorts of health issues, as well as sassy pets, picky pets, and pets that are too smart and nosy for their own good. I'm not afraid of getting my hands dirty for the good of the pet and the household. I'm also told by many a pet that I give the best massages. I understand that dogs and cats are not a monolith and that every individual pet needs individual care. Choosing me to take care of your pets means choosing someone who understands that your furry, four legged family members are just as important as the rest. I like to meet with new clients and their pets before my stay so that the pets will recognize me and so I can be shown where food and cleaning supplies are kept. I cannot go on long walks in the heat due to my POTS, but I can go for short walks necessary for bathroom breaks. I ask that a written care list/schedule be left for me to refer to and that I know when to leave on your arrival day so that you can settle back into your home without any concerns. I will send as many pet pics and updates as you need and be communicative about any issues that may arise.
