Pet care experience

Hello, I'm Soriya, a dedicated professional in the animal care industry with over 10 years of experience. As a veterinary technician, groomer, and trainer my mission is to provide top-tier care and love to your pets. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Veterinary Science from the University of Arizona and have been immersing myself in animal care ever since. During my career as a veterinary technician, I honed skills such as medication administration, subcutaneous injections, and general health monitoring. In my constant pursuit of professional growth, I expanded my expertise into pet grooming. I'm formally certified to work with dogs, cats, and other small animals, ensuring they look and feel their absolute best. In addition to this, I am a positive reinforcement trainer, focusing on basic obedience and behavior modification. I possess the requisite skill set to address any undesirable behaviors while fostering positive ones. *I am not taking new training clients. I will be enrolling into a new program January 2024 to pursue certification as a Clinical Pet Nutritionist. When it comes to pet safety, I'm certified in PetTech First Aid and CPR, AKC S.A.F.E. Pro Groomer, and I hold an Enhanced Background Check verification. So, if you're in search of a pet care provider with a passion for animals coupled with profound expertise, your search ends here.

Soriya did a wonderful job taking care of our Corgi Sofi and out Augie Luna while we were out of town for a little over a week. She sent regular communications and both girls looked to be having a wonderful time with her other dogs and the big back yard. We would recommend Soriya to friend and family, and would gladly have our girls stay with her in the future.

Soriya made our girl feel right at home and was so patient and took great care of her when she had an upset stomach. We are so thankful!!

Soriya is the kindest and most welcoming person. We sent our two dogs to her house, and they had the best time. She understands dogs and ensures that they (and their parents) feel safe and secure. The best!

My dog has stayed at Soriya's multiple times, and he is always so happy and well taken care of when he is there. He comes home totally exhausted from all of the fun. We will be back soon!

Safety, trust & environment

Pet safety is of utmost importance to me. As a pet care provider and fellow pet parent, I take the responsibility of caring for your pet seriously. My quiet and cozy home boasts three bedrooms and a spacious, enclosed backyard perfect for low to moderate energy pups. While I refrain from walks or public outings to minimize potential risks to your pet's safety, my home and yard provide ample opportunities for exercise and entertainment. I am conscientious about the curiosity of dogs and ensure no food, treats, or potentially harmful substances are within their reach. My home and yard are free from poisonous or dangerous plants and the deck is easily accessible, particularly for smaller dogs and those with mobility issues. When cleaning, I use only animal-safe products, thereby ensuring your pet always finds itself in a safe and healthy environment.

Information Soriya K. would like to know about your pet

Before your pet's visit, I'd love to learn more about them! Let me know: What brings joy to your pet? Are there any health or behavioral concerns to be aware of? I welcome all breeds, but dogs must be dog-friendly or dog-neutral, over 1 year old and 45 lbs and under. I generally separate smaller dogs from larger ones during outdoor breaks and playtime, unless they're from the same family. With 20 years of experience caring for dogs and cats, I've spent 12 years working in animal hospitals, grooming salons, and running my own boarding and grooming business. I've developed specific requirements to ensure a safe and happy stay for your pets. My top priority is providing a secure, enjoyable, and clean space for all animals. We can customize your pet's stay for a positive experience! + Dogs should be reasonably clean at check-in, free of parasites, urine and/or feces, and excessively long nails that could cause harm during play. If you have concerns, feel free to discuss them with me. As a professional groomer, I can address these issues before your pet's stay, maintaining a clean and safe environment for all animals. + Per Tennessee state law, all dogs must be licensed and currently vaccinated against Rabies. Core vaccinations are strongly recommended for boarding (DAPP, Bordetella, Lepto) and though I do regularly clean and sanitize my home, I will not be held liable for any viruses your pet may encounter while here. + Dogs should be kennel-trained or comfortable in a playpen to ensure everyone's safety. Although I'm home the majority of the time, pets will be in designated areas during meal times or when I'm away or unable to supervise (including overnight). Mild barking or whining is normal, but excessive tantrums or escape attempts may suggest my home isn't the best fit for your pet. Sociable dogs will enjoy roaming the house and yard under my watchful eye. + Dogs must be potty-trained, with outdoor bathroom breaks provided every 1-3 hours. I'll help them adjust to the new environment, reinforcing outdoor potty habits. Dogs with indoor marking issues can stay if they wear a provided diaper or belly band. + If your pup exhibits moderate to severe separation anxiety or cannot be separated or left alone, my home is not the best fit for them. + Additional charges will apply if I need to monitor health conditions with medical devices, administer injections or multiple daily medications outside of set meal times. This also applies to dogs that require daily grooming (coat brushing, teeth brushing, ear cleaning). These fees will vary depending on the complexity of care. + Due to the increasing number of pets on raw/refrigerated diets, space may be limited in the fridge and freezer. Please let me know prior if this applies to your pup so I can make sure there is space available. + Any dogs on raw diets must have pre-portioned, ready to thaw/serve meals prior to drop-off to limit my own handling of raw items.

A typical day

My weekday boarding hours are from 7AM-7PM and weekend hours are from 8AM-6PM. Pick-up's and drop-off's will need to occur during these hours. Any last-minute changes to the pick-up and drop-off time will need to be adjusted within the app. I also offer round-trip pickup and drop-off within a 7-mile radius for an additional fee.
