Hi there! My name is Soren, I’m a veterinary assistant at Howell Avenue Pet Hospital and I love my job! I’ve been working with dogs ever since I was a teenager. I started with dog walking and sitting as a kid, and started my first jobs working in dog daycares. I also worked as a beginner dog trainer for a year and my goal is to learn more about dog training to do sports and have a stronger relationship with my husky Cherry! I have worked with of dogs of all kinds including those on the fearful and reactive side, those with seperation anxiety, as well as those with high energy, and have experience with cats too.

Soren was great! We highly recommend. Soren took great care of our dog. Our dog can be a handful when he has the zoomies and Soren was able to handle him no problem. Soren also spent actual time with our pup, making sure to cuddle him on the couch. Soren also took great care of our house. We truly appreciate Soren’s quick communication and reliability.
Soren was fantastic. She took my booking at a short noticed and Savannah and Cleo loved the long twilight she took them on! Will definitely be hiring her again.

I take safety very seriously. I keep dogs on leash at all times outside unless there is a secure yard, and can use a long line if desired to give dogs more room to explore. I often bring pet corrector (citronella spray) and an extra lead in case of dangerous encounters with stray/loose dogs, and I have experience with preventing and breaking up dog fights. I will always advocate for your pup and defend them in the case of an emergency. I also have experience with seizures and keeping dogs safe during them.

I will care for all breeds. I understand that some dogs fear new people, or don't get along with other dogs, but I am always willing to work with your pup no matter what their needs are.
A typical day
I love spending time engaging dogs with play, taking them for long sniff walks, practicing tricks and obedience, and giving them enrichment toys. Tug of war, chase and fetch are my favorite doggy games!

Availability
I currently work full time at the vet hospital, so I am not available for long stays with pets that need long term supervision. I am available most weekends and have some weekdays off as well depending on the week.
