I am an ECO-FRIENDLY pet care provider and only service clients in walking and biking distance from my home. I've never lived without a cat or dog my entire life and have always been the first on speed dial for friends and family when it comes to pet sitting - whether for dogs, cats, birds or rats. I have professional experience bathing, grooming and caring for dogs at Barn For Furry Friends in Greenpoint, Brooklyn NY. Additional professional experience includes walking, pet-sitting and house-sitting for a family with a one-eyed rescue chihuahua with behavioral issues, as well as their full run of rats and mice. I have one cat currently, Sookie, and am very accustomed to all of the ins and outs of kitty personalities, including love bites and play scratches. My cat currently is undergoing chemotherapy for lymphoma so I am well-versed in daily medication (no matter what!). I have experience with senior dogs and cats, as well as pets with high anxiety and/or other special needs. My dog, Moe, has a malformed hind leg and, while it hardly slows her down, I have learned to adapt to her needs - I am happy to do so for your pet, too! I care deeply for attention to detail and am dedicated to provided the care for your animals as detailed by you!

Sophie is always our go to petsitter! She is very responsive and she makes sure to send pictures/text updates which allows us to feel at ease while on vacation. My cat is obsessed with her and Sophie makes sure to keep your pet on their normal daily routine. I highly recommend her to anyone needing a pet sitter!
Sophie was such a blessing when our regular sitter had to cancel and we needed someone to care for our kitty at the last minute. She did such a wonderful job and we would definitely leave our cat in Sophie's hands again!

My home is my sanctuary so I will always respect your space and leave everything just as you left it. I am also happy to water plants as needed (I have a bit of a green thumb!) and help out where possible.

If your pet has any quirks or medical needs, I like to be prepared and know what type of attitude to approach your pup or cat with. I have extensive experience with rescue animals coming from abuse and have learned how best to approach different temperaments throughout my experiences.
A typical day
I love to provide the right type of interaction for each dog or cat - every animal is unique and has their own preferred way to play. I am dedicated to giving your furry loved one the type of play they work best with whether that’s toys and games or simply calm attention. I love to explore new places but one of my favorite walks is the Balboa Park sixth ave walk.

Availability
I am a graduate student and restaurant worker so my schedule and workplace are flexible. Last minute appointments are not a problem and regularly scheduled walks will provide a much desired break from my routine! For home visits, I'm happy to stop in a play for 30 minutes or stay put for an hour or more, working from your home and keeping your kitty or doggo company.
