Pet care experience
I have been taking care of pets for years, whether they are my own, my family, my friends, or my neighbors pets. I'm both a dog and cat person and always love getting to spend time with lots of different animals (including birds, geckos, guinea pigs, and more!). My family has a 5 year old, 80lb black lab, so I'm used to walking, playing with, feeding, and bathing him. I've been taking care of him since he was a puppy, so I'm not afraid to clean up accidents or get up in the middle of the night for potty breaks. I'm comfortable with big and small dogs (the one exception is with big dogs who pull extremely hard on walks). My sitting experience includes dogs, cats, pets with high energy, pets who need medication administered, pets with limited mobility, and more.

I inherited a dog from my parents that had never been left with anyone but family. I hired Sophie to house sit while I took a short vacation (the first in 5 years!) and she was wonderful! I received reports and pictures that everyone was doing great, and my dog has a new bestie! Sophie was great with my cats and taking care of my home, too.

Sophie is the best dog sitter and sweetest person. She stayed with our dogs at our house while we went on vacation of a weekend. One of our dogs ended up getting sick while we were gone and she took amazing care of him, cleaned up after him, and gave us plenty of updates. We will definitely have her back!

When I'm preparing to pet sit at a client's home, I always connect with them ahead of time to get detailed care information so that I can provide the best experience for their pet! I'm easy to reach via text or call if the client has any questions or concerns. I am a very attentive care taker!
Information Sophie S. would like to know about your pet
I like to know a basic schedule of what your pet is used to, where I can find care items (food, leash, etc.), and any other important information. If your dog has special needs, medication, etc. I would like to be made aware so I can take care of those needs properly. If your dog has behavioral issues of any kind please make me aware. For walking specifically, if you have a large dog that is prone to pulling, bolting, going after other dogs, etc. please make me aware (I may not be able to accommodate for these behaviors as some dogs weigh as much as I do).
A typical day
I love playing with dogs (and cats if they like to play)! Whether your dog loves fetch, playing tug, or another type of toy, I'm up for it. I really enjoy going for walks (or runs with high energy dogs), from short 15 minute walks to longer 60+ minute walks depending on your dog's activity level. If your pet prefers a good nap and some snuggles, I'm good with that too!

Availability
I currently work part time, so I have a lot of free time to spend with your pets! I try to spend as much time as possible with the animal; not only do I take of basic needs, I'll fit walks, play time, and snuggle time into my schedule! My work schedule is generally flexible, so I can accommodate most scheduling needs.
