Hi, I'm Sophie and I'm looking forward to meeting you and your dog. I love spending time with furry friends, each has their own unique personality. My goal as a sitter is to learn how to make that personality shine in the most positive way. I pride myself on being diligent, enthusiastic and knowledgeable. When I want to learn about something, I throw myself in whole-heartedly. I recently received my Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University in Animal Science. I have a great understanding of dog biology, physiology and psychology. I have worked with dogs of many sizes for training purposes and are not afraid to care for a difficult dog. I hope someday I can become a veterinarian In addition to having a lot of experience caring for dogs, I also have extensive experience caring for birds. I was raised with several feathered friends, and even learned to walk by chasing my parrot around the house. I worked on some parrot conservation sites in Costa Rica and the Caribbeans--I'm extremely comfortable handling them. I love parrots vocalizations and their bright personalities--I'd love to care for your birds too! Depending on your dogs needs and comfort-- I can walk, run or sit with your dog. We can communicate your preferences for dog walk location, pace and distance for both you and your dogs ultimate comfort. Dogs play an important part in my life and I hope to share that love with your dog. Hope to talk to you and your pal soon!
