We were not at all happy with with this booking. You said that you had a family emergency and if that was the case, we are sincerely sorry for what you had to go through. However, after the way you reacted when we questioned why you spent so little time at our house during the booking, we completely lost our trust in you. If you had a family emergency, you should have told us and we would have been sympathetic and made alternative arrangements, as would any reasonable person. These are the reasons we were not happy: 1) You only spent around 40 minutes at hour house on the first day of the sitting. We did say our dogs could be left alone for up to 4 hours but we certainly did not agree to this. 2) You allowed someone else into our house without our permission 3) Our dogs went for 21 hours with no walk and without relieving themselves 4) The dogs finally relieved themselves in the garden at 7:50am the next day and this was left for us to clean up (this would not have happened if they were taken for a walk) 5) When we politely questioned where you were on the first day of the sitting your initial reaction was defensive - and this really destroyed the trust we had in you. I know you think we questioned you aggressively. But as I said - we felt our trust had been abused and we were very concerned for the welfare of our pets. 6) You also complained about the rate Rover pays you and that it equates to a very low hourly rate - perhaps this is the real reason you spent so little time at our home. 7) You left earlier than originally planned on the final day - this certainly wasn't a 24 hour booking; more like a 13 hour stay. On the plus side - you did walk the dogs and mostly do everything you needed to on the second day, but it was a little too late. And again, if you did have a family emergency, we wonder if you would really have stayed until midday.

I am really pleased with everything. Very professional and friendly service. Sophie’s home is perfectly located for dog-sitting too. My dog is a larger breed, a German Shepherd - Sophie was more than capable and confident with her. I definitely recommend Sophie.
