Pet care experience
Both my wife and I have had dogs for all our lives. We are now parents to a wonderful special needs dog which we rescued as a puppy. We also have lots of experience with medications and know that every pet is unique. As we both work from home, we will be there to give your pet all the attention they need while you are away and provide you with frequent updates. And our pup loves making new friends.

I really appreciated how communicative Sophie was during the booking and how flexible she was after we had a last minute scheduling issue. More importantly, however, I greatly appreciate how kind and welcoming she was to our pup - she really made me feel comfortable leaving Willow with her and Kelley while we were out of town. We received very thoughtful and thorough updates and came back to a happy and healthy pup. What else could you ask for?
Juniper has stayed with Sophie, Kelley and Chuck a few times now and I’m concerned if he stays with them again he won’t want to come home! His last stay, he was with them for more than two weeks over winter break. They treat him so well, playing games, going on walks and adventures. They pay such close attention to him and his needs and caring for him. I cannot recommend them highly enough! They have such a high quality of care and loads of love. They are fantastic communicators, and are very flexible. We loved seeing all the pictures and hearing how each day was with our junebug. Big thanks to S, K, & C. We really appreciate you all!

We have a fenced in back yard and a finished basement where we frequently play tug or fetch with our pup. We are also a short walk from rock creek park so if your dog is a hiker we can go for walks and explore. Please note we only take a maximum of 2 pets at a time to ensure everyone gets the attention and care they need.

As a parent to a pet with medical problems, I want to be prepared for anything your pup needs. Any information is welcome- you know them best. Also, let me know if there is anything you’d like me to look for or work on with your pet. I’m happy to help continue any positive reinforcement training so let me know if we can work on anything and what your preferred rewards are (play, treats or whatever you use).
A typical day
I usually go on a longer walk in the morning and get multiple play sessions in throughout the day before another walk in the evening. My dog also enjoys playing in our backyard or just lounging in the sun. I’m happy to adjust my routine based on your pup’s needs.
