I've had the pleasure of working with dogs professionally for two years, as well as being surrounded by family & friend dogs my whole life. The most recent relevant experience I have, is when I fostered kittens and dogs for The Humane Society in Greeley, CO. My job was to provide a comforting and safe home for the animal, helping raise them to be healthy & happy so they can eventually be ready for adoption! Of course, the experiences between the kittens and dogs were very different. With the kittens, I often received litters that was around 1-2 months old and I would keep them until they were around two pounds (healthy adoption weight). With the dogs, I would foster sick or disabled dogs who needed extra love and medical attention. I would foster the dogs from a month to three months, depending on the healing process or adoption pace of the dog. Besides fostering, I've also dog sat for many family friends in high school and continued to do so for others, throughout college. I would stay at the owners house full time until they returned. I would treat the dog like it was my own and follow the routines he/she was most comfortable with. Because of these experiences, I have the tools and the resources to best to care of your pet. The most important thing in my point of view, is that the pet feels as comfortable and safe as they could possibly be with me. I also will provide as active of lifestyle as your pet needs. I try to keep to a consistence daily cardio routine, so it would be even better to have a workout buddy. Walks, runs, hikes, if your pup has the energy, then so do I. I know I can provide all the snuggles, belly rubs, and pets your dog may need. I understand every dog is different and I pride myself on being able to adjust to each dog's needs.
