Pet care experience
I don't see taking care of dogs as work but rather a reward, and have loved my time with Rover so far. I have owned dogs my whole life and have always been an animal person:) My apartment has enough space for your pet to easily get around, and has plenty of grassy areas for walking as well as a fenced-in tennis court that the doggos love to play in. I live with my boyfriend who is also a HUGE animal person and has worked in a shelter, zoo, and wildlife rehabilitation center so he knows a lot about animal behavior. We recently said goodbye to our sweet Boston Terrier and miss having a furry friend around, but we have plenty of toys, treats, and love to offer for any future visits. So far I have loved getting the opportunity to spend time with your friends and getting to know all of their unique qualities!

Sophie was amazing with my dog, Skye, who is a rescue husky (and is therefore VERY anxious)! Sophie made her feel at ease really quickly and I could tell how happy Skye was from the pictures she sent! I missed her a lot but knew she was having fun and making a new friend in Sophie! I will absolutely book her again and recommend her VERY highly!
Sophie was such an amazing companion for Bear! Bear easily adjusted to Sophie's calm and warm demeanor. He had a great time going on walks and hanging out. Sophie is a great communicator - we received frequent messages on how Bear was doing and questions about his and our preferences. We really lucked out on finding Sophie for a week long stay and will book Sophie for any future care needs.
Our puppy Inky and Sophie hit it off immediately. We look forward to Sophie and Inky becoming good friends and spending quality time together
Very nice, kept us updated on Baxter and he came back very happy :)

I always make sure that we go on plenty of walks, and play some catch or tug to get that energy out. For walks, I can do typical neighborhood walks, dog parks, or go to a nearby park with trails! I’m flexible and make sure to pay attention to the pet’s needs, comfort level, energy level, etc. when interacting with them. I make sure to spend as much time with them as possible so they don’t feel as lonely and can pretty much accommodate to any lifestyle. I also love cuddles and am totally fine with pets on the furniture if you are!

A typical day
I like to take dogs for walks in a nearby forest with lots of trails or let them run around in an enclosed area and play catch. I also spend lots of time cuddling on the couch while I (try to) get some homework done…and maybe take some tug-o-war breaks here and there:)

Availability
I’m currently a master’s student at UW-Seattle and have a relatively forgiving schedule. My schedule is predictable and I will always have blocks of time to let the dogs out in between, after, or before classes. I spend a lot of time at home and can provide company and entertainment! It’s always great to have a buddy while I do my homework. I also am used to taking multiple walks a day so this is not a problem for me. *over the summer, I will be completing an internship and do not yet know the hours but hope to know soon!*
