Pet care experience
I have grown up with dogs and cats of all different breeds and temperaments. I live to walk and care for all things so this is a natural fit for me. I work from home, manage my own diary with work and live in the countryside with excellent safe walks for your dogs. My home is in a quiet street in a lovely village and we have a fenced back garden safe for your dogs. I have raised dogs from pups and had the privilege of being with them till their senior years. I have experienced administering medications and providing addition support and care for senior/disabled dogs. Happy to take phone calls and send pictures whilst you are away and keep you up to date with your four legged family member.
Reviews
From the minute I met Sophie, I just knew she was the right person to look after my cats whilst I was away. Totally trustworthy, helpful, communication was outstanding, and my cats took to her straight away. One of my cats is diabetic, Sophie took time out to learn how to administer her insulin. I am eternally grateful for making me feel, that my cats were in safe hands. I would wholeheartedly recommend Sophie, she is one of a kind, whom clearly loves our pets as much as we do.
Ralphie’s had two stays with Sophie and both times she’s been absolutely fantastic! She’s incredibly accommodating when it comes to pickup and drop-off times. She keeps us fully up to date with pictures and messages. Sophie treats Ralphie as if he’s part of her family, which for us, is everything we could ask for.
This was the first time we left Clifford with Sophie. He can be a handful so a little nervous as to how it would go. Well, he was treated like a king! Sophie and her husband looked after him so well, he was thoroughly spoilt. He's already looking forward to his next sleepover, and we have no reservations about recommending Sophie.
This was Georgie's second 'holiday' with Sophie and she has been just as well looked after this time as during her first shorter stay. She's been for walks, spent time in the garden, played games, slept on Sophie's bed every night and has generally been thoroughly doted on once more by this amazing dog sitter and her husband! Wouldn't hesitate to recommend or use her again in the future 😊.

Information Sophie G. would like to know about your pet
I need to know how often they like to walk, what they are like on the lead? How much food/what food they eat (provided by your good selves), any medications (how often etc), what they are like with other animals? What they don’t like? Are they house trained? Do they like to swim? Do you want them bathed? Where do they sleep? Any commands/training you want me to continue? Any past heath conditions I should keep an eye out for? Vets information? Anything you think important for me to know!
A typical day
Start the day off with a walk to the river Trent, on a safe quiet walk way, come home, have a cuddle and a meal. Have a game of fetch in the garden and potter round the house together until lunch where we can do it all again. In the evening we can have a nice walk along the farmers fields and enjoy a film together with plenty of scratches.
