Hi, I’m Sophie! I have 2 dogs of my own and I love them with all of my heart! I’ve been dog sitting throughout my community for 4 years. I’m now living in Iowa City for school and missing my babies at home so I would love to hangout with yours :) I’ve been caring for my dogs at home for the past 12 years so I know how to deal with animals during all stages of life. Additionally, i’ve stayed at my clients homes for both short and long periods of time. I will always be respectful of your home and establish rules prior to my stay. My main goal is to make sure your animals feel happy and comfortable at all times.

Sophie was great! First time we’ve had someone house sit with our two large dogs. She was a very good communicator and our dogs were well taken care of and exercised. She also left the house in better condition than we left it in. Sophie will be our first choice again when we need someone to look after our dogs.

Sophie was so great with our dogs while we were out of town. She sent lots of cute pics and checked in with us. She was also able to come a few hours earlier than planned when our plans changed. She’s great to work with! Our dogs loved her!
Sophie was a great sitter! She made sure my dogs were well taken care of & comfortable with her. I will definitely be booking with her again when needed. If you’re looking for a sign, get her you won’t regret it!

A typical day
I love discovering new walking paths! I know the downtown area quite well but I’d like to broaden my horizons. When playing, tug-of-war and fetch are my dogs absolute favorites, so i’m kind of an expert in those fields! If your animal is lazy, I’m also down for a cuddle and nap :)

Availability
This summer I will be working part time and doing online courses. Both of these are very flexible and provide me plenty of gaps throughout the day to do walks and drop ins! If you need overnight care, feel free to reach out a couple of days in advance in case I need to modify anything!
