Hi there! :) I'm Sophie and I'm a pet sitter and dog walker based in Southport. I absolutely adore animals and can't imagine life without them. I originally started dog sitting for my neighbour’s schnauzer when I was a teenager while his owners were working. Over the last few years, I've got back into dog sitting/walking as a side hustle and I love it. I've built up a great relationship with clients and their pets. I have 10 years plus experience caring for our family pets. We currently have a chocolate Labrador, a young retriever and two cats. I have a level 3 qualification in Animal Management, so I have lots of experience working with a range of animals. I also volunteer at a local animal sanctuary.

Five star, would book again. Sophie looked after my elderly pug and Labrador while I was away for a long weekend. My pug had developed some additional toileting care leading up to me going away, for which I was still learning to cope with myself. Naturally I was a little anxious about leaving her, but I needn't have been. Sophie was happy to send photos throughout the weekend and had very kindly bathed the pug for me before I arrived home to a clean and tidy house.
I was nervous to leave my pup for the first time with someone yet Sophie came to meet her before, and kept me up to date throughout the stay so I wasn't worried. My dog was super relaxed and comfortable, and my house was left super clean. Would 100% recommend for any stay, thank you so much✨

A typical day
So a typical day would depend on the pet itself and the area. Locally, I find Hesketh Park to be a great walk, the sand dunes, the beach, or a local field. One of our family dogs gets quite anxious with other dogs so I know some quiet areas if that's something that would help your dog. I really enjoy the outdoors and going on walks. I am active so can provide lots of exercise for high-energy dogs.

I currently work part-time. I am available in advance for long weekends and nightly visits/walks. If you send a request I'll always try and accommodate it.
