Pet care experience
I have taken care of dogs for as long as I can remember. I started walking dogs for my neighbors when I was 6 years old, and since then I have done dog boarding for friends and family, house sitting, and dog playdates pretty regularly. I also love cats, and I believe I have developed skills to adequately care for all types of pets (Fun fact: I volunteered at the KC zoo for four years, in which time I learned a lot about different types of animal care!)

This is my second time having Sophie take care of my fur baby. She is attentive, and very responsive. Sends lots of pictures, and keeps you updated on what is going on with your pet which gives you peace of mind while traveling.
Sophie was wonderful with our two cats, and conscientious in watching our house. Would definitely have her cat/house sit again.
Sophie did an awesome job taking care of my fur baby. She was prompt in her responses. Attentive to all of my cat’s needs, and sent lots of pictures and updates.

I will always defer to the pet parent and make sure to be careful that the pet is only in situations in which they are comfortable. I know a lot about how to interact with animals, but ultimately, the parent knows best what is right for their individual pet, so I will always make an effort to ensure I am meeting those standards of safety and trust.

I like to take dogs on walks, play with them, and give them pets and love. I like to get to know individual pets to adapt to their comfort level.

Availability
I am available for dog walking and drop in visits primarily in the afternoons and evenings. I work from 8-5 on weekdays, so I can provide potty breaks before 7:30am, at 12pm, and after 5:15pm during the week. I also do house sitting, but I prefer not to stay for full nights on weekdays. That said, my schedule is fairly flexible and can be negotiated with enough notice!
