Hello! I am opening up my Rover services again just for dog walking and can't wait to meet your pup! I recently received my certificate from the Northwest School of Canine Studies and over the past couple of years I have worked as a dog trainer at two different organizations here in Seattle. In addition, I previously worked full time in dog care at a local animal shelter where I particularly loved being able to support dogs who were struggling behaviorally. While I have a huge soft spot for pitbulls, I love getting to know the unique personality and lovable qualities of every dog. I can't wait to find out what makes your dog special to you! I am currently in the process of narrowing in on my area of focus as I work towards my goal of working directly with shelter dogs who have behavioral challenges. In the meantime, I want to continue filling my days with dog time. I am happiest when I am around dogs and will care for your dog with enthusiasm and love!

I can’t recommend Sophie enough. She’s so amazing with our dog and incredibly communicative. It’s so incredibly helpful to know that when we leave Bear that we have nothing to worry about. The peace of mind that we get from Sophie’s great care is just amazing.
Sophie is an amazing dog sitter, BOOK HER while you can! Our normal dog sitter was unavailable, so we reached out to Sophie and we are so glad we found her! She sent us several pictures of our dog, Bear, throughout the time we were away and was very flexible with our drop off time (6:30 am flexible) and pick up time. She is one of the nicest people I have met and genuinely seems to enjoy spending time with the pups she watches. She took Bear to a nearby park several times during the 24 hour period she watched him. We will definitely book again - Thanks Sophie!
Sophie is a first class Rover sitter and I can highly recommend her to watch your fur baby! Our dog, Dunkin, had a wonderful stay with her. Sophie sent lots of pictures and status updates, was super responsive, and really seemed to genuinely care about Dunkin's well being. I will definitely look to use Sophie again in the future!
Sophie is fantastic. Our Siberian Husky pup loves her and she treats him like her own. She takes him on amazing walks and we couldn't be happier with how he's taken such great care of and our experience scheduling with her as well as the adorable photos and updates she gave us during his stay. I hope to be able to cater your walks to you and your dog's specific needs. I know how difficult it can be to worry about maintaining consistency with various styles of care so I'll try my best to follow your typical walking routine. While I am out on a walk with your dog, safety is hugely important to me. For that reason, I will never approach another dog. I'm also very accustomed to working with dogs who are reactive so just let me know if that applies to your dog and how you are currently addressing those concerns so I can provide as comfortable of a walking experience as possible for your pup.

I would love to know about your dog's overall temperament, energy level, and whether they have any specific triggers. It would also be helpful to know what a typical walk looks like for you and your dog and whether you are currently doing any kind of training that you'd like me to help maintain while we're out and about (e.g. waiting at the street, procedure for leash pulling, etc.) **Please let me know how your dog responds to other dogs and what behaviors I can expect when we are passing another dog. As mentioned previously, I will always do my best to keep our distance from other dogs just in case, but this is still helpful for me to know!
A typical day
Let me know if your dog has a favorite spot nearby where they love to go! Otherwise, I'll be happy to walk them around the neighborhood or take them to a nearby park. I have spent a LOT of time walking my own dog as well as other dogs so I know my way around the area quite well and have plenty of spots I'd love to take your dog to explore.

I currently have a relatively flexible schedule and with enough notice, I am generally available for walks in the mornings and afternoons. I'm open to recurring walks assuming we're a good fit for each other!
