It is my great pleasure to care for your furry family, both Cats AND Dogs! I provide them with comfort, cuddles and joy when you are away! 😀 I am a caring, patient, attentive and highly responsible animal lover with over 10 years of professional pet care experience. In addition to caring for pets, I am a teacher, writer & urban hiker! ~ Pet pics and updates will be sent to you daily! ~ Your pets are covered by my own petsitting insurance PLUS the Rover guarantee. ~ Feel free to reach out and set up a complimentary Meet and Greet! ~ Services Offered: * Drop-in visits for cats, dogs, fish, plants... Depending on what's needed, Visits may include: Pets and cuddles, Let-out's to your yard, Play sessions, Feeding/watering, Litter cleaning, and Brushing; * Petsitting &/or Housesitting: Overnights in your home while you are away; * Private Dog Walks (up to 3 dogs that you own or host/know, additional fee per dog); weekly walks or single visit; 30-60 minute walks available) * Pet taxi to and from appointments. I have been a happy pet owner of both cats and dogs for most of my life and adore hanging out with animals!

Sophie did a fantastic job sitting for our house, two dogs, 6 chickens and many plants! She's a great communicator and enthusiastic pet lover. She sent daily dog photos and kept the house so clean it was hard to tell anyone had been there. I will highly recommend her for house and pet sitting!

Sophie has been amazing with my girl Rosie as she adjusts to city life. She has made a huge impact on keeping her calm and helping keep her active by giving her good exercise and working with to stay calm and focused while encountering squirrels, other dogs and loud noises on their walks. I have noticed such a change due to Sophie's interventions. Sophie is prompt, communicative and kind. A one of a kind! Rosie adores her!

Please let me know any details of care that you will need for your fur babies. I am a gentler type of petsitter, but I also love fun, energetic critters! I am great with both cats and dogs, highly sensitive to their needs and will do everything I can to make them comfortable and happy. Please do let me know in advance if your pet has issues with aggression, to make sure we are a good fit .
A typical day
* For cats, feather wand toys are a favorite, but little woolen balls or even hide and seek can be super fun! Many cats just want pets, cuddles and loving company which i am happy to provide! * I have been known to dance with puppies/ dogs, if they're game (solo, not partner- no tangos! But a little disco spin could happen.... ) * For Senior dogs I will walk at their pace, massage stiff limbs, and play with any toys they may have. Overall, i go at the pet's pace, let them tell me what they want, whether just a warm lap or just lots of gentle positive talk.

Availability
I have a fairly flexible schedule. I currently teach part time just 2 half-days per week, so I have plenty of time for your pups and kitties! I'm available for mid-day drop ins and walks while you are at work*, as well as weekend walks, and also love to do house sitting! Feel free to contact me and i will do my best to accommodate you! (* on Mon&Tues I am available after 2:30.)
