Pet care experience
We live in the woods by the creek and there are lots of trails to explore in the open space across the street, including an awesome pond. Your dog will have the best time away from home! We recently said goodbye to our 15 year old dachshund and miss having a dog around the house as well as all of the daily routines. My kids and I enjoy taking care of and connecting with dogs of any age and breed. I am familiar with puppy and senior dog care as well.

I’m so grateful to have left Gio with Sophia and her family. They were so welcoming and understanding of our dog who was anxious to be left in a new place. He had a great time hiking and hanging out. I would recommend them to anyone.
Sophia & family took great care of Finn. They invited him in to sniff around, he immediately liked them. When I picked him up he was happy & tired from a nice walk.
Sophia and her family always take such good care of our pup. She sent us updates and photos while we were away. And he came back very tired and happy.
I totally trusted Sophia and her family to take care of my dog Poka. Poka got great enrichment and outside time, plus lots of cuddles and love from humans (her favorite!). When Poka came back home, she was totally blissed out and relaxed, and I know it’s partially because Sophia made Poka feel at home even in a new environment. We had a lot of advice and notes about our dog’s quirks that we provided upfront, and Sophia was very understanding and respectful of our preferences. This made me feel comfortable with leaving Poka in her care, and next time I need a sitter I’ll definitely ask Sophia. I highly recommend Sophia!

There are deer and squirrels visiting daily. I have a partially fenced back yard for lounging in the sun and a creek right below the house that the dogs are welcome to enjoy. Furniture is pet friendly. Oh, and my youngest son provides non-stop playtime and cuddles :)

Your dog has to be comfortable around children. I am able to provide lots of personal space, but my kids are home most of the time and love to play. Please share any personality quirks, health issues/allergies, eating habits and a favorite pastime. If your dog tends to be nervous in new surroundings, bringing a blanket or an item that smells like home will make the transition easier. I can provide water/food bowl, toys, poop bags and extra treats.
A typical day
We’re usually outside, exploring the local trails and nearby redwoods or at the beach catching waves. The kids like to play fetch with the dogs in our backyard and explore the creek below.

I’m a stay at home mom with two boys, my schedule is very flexible and your dog will be surrounded with attention, care and lots of play. We’re usually outside, exploring the trails or at the beach
