Pet care experience
I’ve had an immense passion for animals since I was a child and I treat all of my clients pets as if they were one of my own. At 10 years old I began volunteering at a no-kill cat shelter called "Cat Depot" and helped my family and neighbors care for their animals. In my ten years of experience I've taken care of a wide variety of animals including dogs, cats, bunnies, snakes, geckos and fish. I have 5 years of experience with special needs animals. I have worked with several animals who have had dementia, blindness, deafness, and Cerebellar Hypoplasia. I strive to provide my clients and pets with the highest quality care and I will go above and beyond to satisfy the needs of both owner and pet. If my clients need to extend my stay or have me drop by their house unexpectedly I try my best to accommodate them. All of my clients will receive photo and video updates during my dog walks, drop-in visits, and overnight stays to make them feel the most comfortable and to ensure that their pet is being taken well care of. Please be aware that I will not accept any booking requests until I have met you and your animal(s) in person.

Sophia recently stayed in our home to care for our two elderly pups while we were out of town. She was amazing - very communicative with lots of photo updates and texts, and the house was left spotless. To our delight, our very shy dog warmed up to her right away (and he never does that!), so we were at peace knowing that everyone was happy and well cared for. We will book Sophia again in a heartbeat!

If I am completing a dog walk, drop-in visit or overnight stay I will always ensure that the doors remain locked not only for my own safety but for the safety of your animal(s). When providing overnight stays I will always clean up after myself and leave your home spotless. If requested during an extended stay I will bring in your trashcans and mail free of charge. Before I take any of my clients dogs for a walk I double-check that their leash or harness is secure so that they cannot run away.
Information Sophia W. would like to know about your pet
When I am dog walking it is important for me to understand how your dog behaves around other dogs, how well trained they are, how good they are at walking on a leash, any animals/noises/people that might scare them, and their overall personality. When I provide drop-in visits it is important for me to understand your animals bathroom schedule and their temperament towards strangers entering the home. When I am providing overnight stays I would like my clients to notify me upfront if their pet has bladder/bowel issues, needs potty breaks in the middle of the night, etc.
A typical day
There is a bike path in my neighborhood which leads down to Doheny Beach. I can walk dogs all the way down to Doheny or a shorter distance if they prefer. There are plenty of dog-friendly trails in the Dana Point, San Juan Capistrano, and San Clemente area that I am familiar with that I can bring your dog on.

Availability
I am an online college student at Saddleback so my schedule is relatively flexible during the week. Rover is a secondary source of income for me but it is something that I am truly passionate about.
