We wouldn't Be without Dogs
Pet care experience
I have always had dogs in my life. My first dog, Nina, was the first thing to teach me how to love and care for another creature, and I still think of her almost everyday. I recently had to say goodbye to our dog, Miles, so there is a large, dog shaped hole in our heart, senior dogs are more than welcome, as I am experienced with at home care for elderly dogs. My mother and 83 year old Great Aunt still speak of Meatball, the family dog, nearly 50 years later. Needless to say, I grew up in a family that treasures animals. 🐺🐾🐾💓💓🐾🐾💓💓🐾🐾🐺 We also are welcoming small dogs (5-20lbs) to be boarded at our home! Or, if you have a larger dog who thinks it’s a baby then how could we say no?! We are doting surrogate dog parents, we live in an apartment, but it has many comfy spots for puppos and is kept very clean. Even though we don’t have a back yard we miss having a dog to walk, and live right by a large field! I work from 9-1 during the week, and but there is usually someone always home, as my partner, Nick leaves for work around Noon, so the Fur Angel will rarely be left alone. (I am also available for drop-ins or staying over at a clients house, if that’s what they are more comfortable with). 🐾🐺 💓 Other than obsessing over dogs, I do Audio Visual work primarily in film exhibition. There is nothing better than seeing a smile on a dog after a big walk, run, or a solid play session...it truly soothes my soul and gives me happiness! Will be able to uphold training consistency for puppies or older dogs in transition. I have experience with senior dog care as well, including bathing, frequent potty breaks, special diets, and administering oral and topical medication. The loving reciprocity between humans and dogs is one of my favorite things in the world and giving them the attention and care they need is a growing passion in my life.
Reviews
Sophia was great! Kept me up to date during the stay. I could tell my pup had a good time when I returned!
Sophia loves dogs and they love her back! She has a natural rapport with all animals, and the pups left in her care are always safe and sound. She has "doggysat" for my Chihuahua mix and my Boxer/English Mastiff mix several times in the past and I highly recommend her!
Sophia loves chillin' with dogs of all sizes and shagginess. She even likes my dogs, which are not shaggy at all. Takes a special kind of person to love a dog with no hair.
Sophia is a considerate and thoughtful young lady. Until dogs get involved. Then she becomes a dog whisperer...she has grown up around dogs and took care of the aging family dog for years and did a better job than the rest of the family.

Information Sophia V. would like to know about your pet
Just the basics-any special care/medications/eating habits. Likes and dislikes are also important-how socialized is the dog, does it enjoy other dogs (play nice?), behavior around children and adults, as well as any sensitivities. For example, I live with a pitbull that is very sensitive to flashing lights, so I stay aware of that to keep him comfortable (no flash pictures for that pup!).
A typical day
Depending on the dog's temperament of course, walks can range from around the neighborhood or through a park/trail. If the dog loves to be social then we will find a dog park to run around! It's important for dogs to not only get walked, but also be engaged with games and some running around to get all of their energy out.
