Pet care experience
I am an experienced volunteer with both NYC's Animal Care Centers and Animal Project NYC. I have specialized experience in caring and fostering unsocialized cats and kittens. I grew up with cats and dogs in my home and have two of my own cats. I have provided independent drop in, sitter, and walking services for the last 5 years. I love meeting new pets and getting to know new cats and dogs!

Sophia was so good with my cats! I have a very skiddish cat and was worried he wouldn’t come out from under the bed while I was gone but Sophia made him feel very comfortable and sent me photos of him cuddling with her! Would definitely book again!
Sophia was *awesome*. Super communicative, sent lots of pictures, and went over and above to take care of our Lucy. I highly recommend if you're looking for someone to drop in on, play with, and care for your pet.

I take a very personal approach for each pet and situation. I know how particular care can be for various pets, so I will do my best to follow any instructions I am given. I really enjoy sending updates about your little one, and will keep you updated in a detailed way with photos! Safety is of utmost importance so I will always make sure your dog is harnessed and leashed up properly before we leave for a walk. For cats I am very respectful of their boundaries and always make sure to follow their lead with social time.

A typical day
I love being able to give dogs new experiences still within their comfort zone. We can check out nearby parks, take walks, and fit in some playtime. With cats I take the time to play with them, take care of their space while you're away. With both cats and dogs and I am careful to watch for their body language and comfort to see what they are interested in whether it's cuddles or playtime!

I am a freelancer who works within the Film and Television Industry, so I maintain a very flexible schedule for last minute drop ins and walks! Connecting with animals gives me a lot of personal fulfillment as well, so coming to care for your pets will likely be a highlight of my day!
