Sophia, Zack, and the Canine Pack
Pet care experience
Hello there! We are Sophia & Zack, the humans of our 3-dog canine pack. Our dogs are Athena, the 11 year old Newfoundland, Lasso, the 13 year old border collie mix, and Dapi, the 1.5 year old heeler mix. We've lived and traveled all over the US with our dogs since 2012, when Athena joined us as a puppy. We rescued Lasso in 2014, and rescued Dapi in March 2023 after she was left to starve in the Utah desert. We adore our dogs and realized that after having 2 (or more dogs), additional pack members really don't add much work to our daily lives. Our pups love to play with others, so we've joined Rover to provide exceptional boarding and care to dogs while their owners travel for work or fun. We have extensive experinece caring for senior and sick dogs, as well as training puppies and adults. We have all sorts of tricks for quickly and painlessly administering medication orally, nasally, or via inijection. We have a very large, fully-fenced yard and dog-proofed space, with an additional dog run for clients who need their own undisturbed spot in the yard. We frequently hike with our pups and are happy to take clients along! If you're looking for folks with over a decade of experience caring for dogs at all life stages, we're the sitters for you.
Reviews
Sophie and Zack are awesome! They cared for our lab Charlie as if she were one of their own. They made sure she had lots of exercise, cuddles, and love. Great communication; they sent lots of pics and videos so we were able to relax and enjoy our vacation knowing Charlie was having the time of her life. Thank you!!
Treated our dogs to all sorts of fun exercise! Very good communication too

Safety, trust & environment
We have a fully fenced and very large yard that is dog-proofed to keep your pups safe when they are at our house. The interior of our house is also dog-proofed, with the trash or other potential items of interest locked away. The couch belongs to the dogs (they are family, after all!). All food and medications are kept in locked cabinets or drawers, away from very curious dogs.

Information Sophia T. would like to know about your pet
We need to know about any aggressive behaviors, phobias, and of course medications and dietary restrictions. We also need to know about separation anxiety or if there are any dog breeds/sizes your pup isn't comfortable with. Finally, please let us know if your dog likes high energy activities such as going for road and trail runs, so we can plan to take them along!
A typical day
Each and every day involves a long walk or hike, especially since we have a super high-energy pup of our own. We start the day with lots of yard time before and after breakfast, and mornings are usually chill as the humans start their work days, with a 30 minute leash walk before we all settle in. Potty breaks are provided every few hours (more often if needed), off-leash in the yard. In the early afternoon or evening, depending on the time of year and the daylight, and the condition of the foothills trails, we load into the car and go for a long hike, or take a long, 45-90 minute stroll around the neighborhood. We do "doggy school" throughout the day and practice our tricks (or learn new ones!) in exchange for everyone's favorite treats. In the evening, we all curl up on the couch, our dog beds, or the human bed. Photos are always provided to our clients' humans, as often as the humans would like!
Services

Availability
We have 3 dogs of our own, so our routine is already built around our pups. One of us works from home most days of the week. All dogs get breakfast and dinner at set times, with frequent off-leash potty breaks in the yard. We do daily long walks or hikes, as well as games of fetch in the large fenced yard. We can accommodate high energy dogs, as one of our pups is a herding dog mix and very young, and gets a chance to run every day of the week! If your dog enjoys hikes or leashed runs, we are happy to take them along.
