Pet care experience
I've had dogs, cats, chickens, rodents, and reptiles in my life since before I was born! I grew up learning accountability by caring for my chocolate lab and with the addition of my second dog, a black lab mix, I was a full-time pet owner and now I'm always on the lookout for a dog to love. I love all dogs big and small, plus I'm comfortable with cats, reptiles, rodents, birds, and whoever else you might have! I have taken care of almost every type of animal before, and I look forward to learning about your animal's particular needs. I've dogsat for pets with special needs, and I took care of my ailing labrador before she passed away at 16 years old. I'm quite comfortable administering medication as needed, and I will always ensure that the proper dosage/meal is given. I love taking photos! I'm that petsitter that will always find time to send one, two, or fifty photos a day so that you know your pet is being well loved and well cared for.

This was our first time using a dog sitter and we couldn’t be happier that we used Sophia! She updated us throughout the weekend and our puppy was happy and well taken care of until we returned.
Second time using Sophia and continually pleased! She ran my dishwasher for me when I forgot to do it, grabbed my mail, and Jackson is clearly comfortable with her. Will definitely continue to book her if she’s available and willing!
Sophia is amazing! Our meet & greet gave me so much peace of mind and let me know she didn’t think of Jackson as “just a lizard.” Asked all the right questions and double confirmed everything I requested. She went above and beyond for the drop-ins, spending extra time with Jackson, letting her out to roam and have window time (her favorite!) and sending me multiple pictures each visit. Has a wonderful personality and you can tell she deeply cares for all her clients as if they were her own pets. I never had to worry, and will 100% book again if she’ll have me!
Can't say enough positive things about Sophia! She stayed with our 2 standard poodles, young dogs with young dog energy! Sophia not only made certain they had plenty of interaction, she followed most all of our directions and went above and beyond when a bout of tummy upset happened for one of the poodles. Sophia kept us informed via text and photos on the good, the bad and the unfortunate that was happening and I felt quite comfortable that the dogs were in good hands. Will certainly book Sophia again!

If your dog is allowed on furniture, they are welcome to sleep with me and get cuddles all night long. If they are not, I am happy to enforce that policy as well and make sure they get plenty of love wherever they sleep.

I definitely have a soft spot in my heart for larger dogs, but I'm always down to cuddle up on a chilly day with a smaller dog in my lap. Before I dogsit, it's important I know your dog's food schedule, potential temperamental issues, nearby vet, and medication.
A typical day
I love to explore Los Angeles and its surrounding areas, so I'm happy to take your dog on a neighborhood walk or a midday hike! I enjoy biking and would love to teach your dog to run comfortably beside me for an additional burst of exercise. I also played softball for years, so I'll definitely be able to keep up with a ball-hogging dog.
