Pet care experience
I am a 28 year old woman who grew up on a small farm in South Africa. I have been surrounded by animals for as long as I can remember. I've been taking care of dogs and cats for approximately 22 years. I have experience raising puppies, hand rearing abandoned kittens (from about 1 day old), caring for older dogs and cats and even caring for birds (including geese and chickens) and smaller rodents (hamsters, rats). I am familiar with taking care of various dog breeds including French bulldogs, pitbulls, French poodles, shitzu, labradors, golden retrievers, Dalmatians, Scottish terriors, Airedale terriors, dachshunds and MANY mixed breeds. I am also familiar with bathing dogs, giving cats, dogs and birds medication and removing ticks.

Sophia was so kind and active with updates on Miso. She and her partner updated us frequently with pictures of Miso walking and sleeping, which as a worried owner of course is highly appreciated! We were also a bit late since we are not from the area and she was very flexible with the time. I highly recommend you leave your pooches with Sophia!
Sophia is very nice and looked after joey very well. Joey looked like he had a great time with Sophia's family. We can recommend her highly.

My partner and I live in a two story flat in Haarlemmerdijk. The flat contains two flights of stairs and is therefore more ideal for small or medium sized dogs and cats so that we can pick them up and carry them if needed. Although we don't have a garden, we do have a small balcony. We stay very close to one of the biggest parks in Amsterdam -Wester Park - where we can take your dogs for a walk a few times a day. We also believe in providing a lot of cuddles and enjoy it when dogs and cats come to cuddle in bed.

A typical day
I like to ensure your dog receives a lot of love and attention during the day when they are indoors and if it's a nice day I usually like to treat them to some fresh air and stimulation with a walk in the park. If the weather is looking a bit too cold, I usually like to take them for a walk around the block so that they still get some fresh air and outdoor stimulation but try my best in not getting them too wet or cold when outside.

Availability
I currently work in the evenings on Tuesdays to Saturdays. I am able to pet sit full time on Sundays and Mondays, and am home during the day until 17:00 to take care of your pets on every other day of the week.
