Pet care experience
I've pet sat for large dogs, small dogs, chickens, reptiles, fish, kittens, old cats, ferrets, etc. I grew up with large breed dogs, St Bernards, and we even had puppies for a while, I also used to foster kitten families for the Humane Society. I have owned ferrets, reptiles, fish, and chickens, and have even pet sat those types of animals as well. I would be more than happy to provide the extra care necessary to make a pet feel safe and loved.

Sophia is awesome! She came and met our dogs and toured the house prior to dog sitting for the weekend. The night before dog sitting she asked relevant questions we had left unanswered to ensure everything was good to go. She texted me throughout her stay with updates and pictures of our dogs. She double checked what a good time frame was to leave after dog sitting. She even offered to go back and check on the dogs should something change in our schedule. We would definitely book sophia again!
Sophia was wonderful with my furbabies! She took extra care with my old dog, coaxing him to eat and go outside for the bathroom, and showed my younger dog and cat all the attention they wanted! She sent me pictures and customized messages each day. She is trustworthy and kind. I will absolutely be booking Sophia again any time I go out of town.

When I make stops to families houses I make sure to spend at least 30 minutes to 2 hours spending time with the animals. I enjoy playing with pets because I know they need the exercise and the social time!

Please let me know of any specific behaviors, medicines, illnesses, etc upon booking. I love taking care of animals and the best way for me to do that is to be aware of their parent's preferred methods of care.
A typical day
Walking is one of my favorite ways to exercise, and usually dogs agree with that! I would be excited to walk dogs (or other animals, I take my cat on leashed walks all the time), play tug-of-war, laser pointers, etc. I am also comfortable working with older animals that need more social time since they cannot be as active.

Availability
I grew up in Chardon and moved to Florida for my career as an art teacher. I am currently on Family Medical Leave from work to assist in my father’s medical care. I am back in town for a few months and have a very open schedule!
