10-dog family, lifetime experience
Pet care experience
Hi, my name is Sophia! I have grown up with dogs all around me for as long as I can remember, but I'm also a huge lover of cats! Currently, my family and extended family are at 10 dogs in total! I currently am a mommy of a Shih Tzu girl rescue and another rescued Jindo mix stud. I have experience raising puppies as young as 10-weeks old all the way up to 17-years! I also have experience dealing with all dogs of shapes, sizes and temperaments. We had a couple cats when I was a kid and lots of goldfish and hamsters. I know exactly what it feels like to be so busy providing for your furry family member and not having the time to spend with them, but I promise that they'll receive the love they need and deserve until you come back and are able to give it to them yourself! In any case I’m unable to attend to your pet, my partner in crime, Issac, can step in. We’ve been doing Rover together and he’s a real treat to all our furry companions. Issac has had experience with dogs and cats as well and knows what it takes to give the best care! My hope is that it is reassuring to have 2 people available to care for your pet at any time! As always, let us know if you have any questions regarding this arrangement. ***IMPORTATNT*** - costs will temporarily rise during the colder months, subject to change.
Reviews
Sophia was great as usual! Always our go to sitter for our needy cat :)
Sophia has been a fantastic taking care of our cat for us on multiple occasions. She provides excellent care and detailed updates that really put our minds at ease. Reliable, caring, and a true professional, we highly recommend her services. Thank you again, Sophia!
Sophia was great! Communicative and responsive and gave Milo lots of pets and attention. Will for sure book again the next time I need a sitter.
We’ve been using Sophia for a while now and she is our favorite sitter on Rover! She is always quick to respond and shows up right when she says she will which is important for us now that our cat needs insulin at very specific intervals. She goes above and beyond and takes the time to tidy up after her visits - like the time our cat had managed to knock all his food over and left her a nice mess to clean up in the morning. Could not recommend Sophia enough!

I have a fenced area for dogs as well as have a nice, safe route around the neighborhood with enough grass stops. In my home, I will do everything in my power to make sure your pup adjusts comfortably and manage any anxiety levels they may have (both of my dogs can be very anxious so I have experience calming them in new spaces). In your home, it’s your rules! Tell me the do not’s and must have’s during the visit. I’ll try my best to make your pup forget you’re gone! (but we all know they miss you every second you're gone!) you can trust that I will be treating them as my own!

Information Sophia K. would like to know about your pet
It would be nice to know their temperament and how they do with others dogs. And any bad habits they have, if any. Also if I should be aware of any special needs. For longer time booked, knowing their daily schedule would also help. Sticking to a schedule they're used to is very important!
A typical day
Depending on the dog and their comfort level, we will go on long walks, preferably areas with lots of grass. If appropriate, we can go to dog parks and interact with other dogs. Or if conditions don't allow it, we can have just as much fun inside with their favorite toys! I like to keep my own dogs active so I would take them out for at least 2 walks a day, usually 3x - accommodating accordingly to any health issues that may prevent your pup from going outside too much/long! I am here to be flexible and make sure your pup is comfortable!

Availability
I’m currently working a hybrid schedule, but can be flexible and able to meet your time-specific needs if my schedule allows. Issac is fully remote, which he can step in at any time I am unable to make visits if his schedule allows as well. I usually like to give my own dogs 3 walks a day (1-2 mini walks, 1 longer walk) so whatever you think is appropriate, I can accommodate. I can set aside separate playtime with them and make sure they’re comfortable during nap time. I will keep at eye on them at all costs, so unless I can trust the pup and know their behavior well enough, I will likely keep them within seeing distance. oh, and regular belly scratches are a must! Our feline friends may require a bit less energy but that doesn't mean they deserve any less attention! Visits with your purring buddy would mostly consist of pets for the full visit (if they want it). Any additional care, feeding, litter instructions is by what you tell us. The goal is keep their schedule consistent so that they are comfortable while their pawrent is away for a short time!
