Pet care experience
My camera roll is mostly animals
I currently work from home in the Hollywood/ Los Feliz area with my cat, Luna and pet sit for others whenever I can! My late cat Charlie was 15 and diabetic, so grew very comfortable giving insulin shots over the years I spent caring for her. Luna is a 6ish y/o petite tuxedo that I adopted when I was in college. Aside from these two, I have cared for many pets of all ages and sizes! Most notably, my family’s late Old English Sheepdog, Bentley. He sadly got very sick, so I spent a lot of my time caring for him and making his last days as comfortable as possible. I’ve cared for various senior pets and provided them with necessary medication and supplements. I’ve also helped care for pets after various injuries and procedures/surgeries. I know firsthand how stressful it can be to leave your pets in the hands of someone else, especially if they have any medical concerns. Over the years I’ve taken care of many animals and have learned how to cater to their specific needs :)

Ratings and reviews
Sophia has been an amazing addition to “our village”, that allows us to travel with peace of mind and cute updates. Our cat loves her and she’s careful, responsible and loving towards him! Hire this angel ❤️

Sophia is great! I always know my cat is well taken care of with her :)

Sophia is the best! My older cat adores her, and she is so gentle and patient with our two new cats who are very skittish. It puts my mind at ease knowing she’s taking care of them while we’re out of town!

Sophia is great and my cat loves her!

Sophia was a literal life saver; is. Because of her, I was able to take the doctor-ordered trip of a lifetime to reset mental, physical, and soulful health after a year of ailing. My trip turned everything around — I got my groove back! — and it almost didn’t happen. But because of Sophia, it did. Fourteen hours left on the clock before takeoff to Japan, I was already a stress ball going supercritical, when my husband-wife sitting team dropped a double whammy: each of their remaining parents had just experienced major health episodes and would be flying to separate locales even before I departed. After trying two layers of backup friends, I quickly made a rover account and contacted a few sitters with a frantic summary of my status. I believe I sent out eight messages in as many minutes, but zero responses. Sophia got back to me, full of empathy, in about eight seconds. We worked things out over the course of an hour of texts, and I started to switch my stress to more mundane pre-trip concerns. Sparing the details to you, I’ll say that her caring consideration was abundant throughout the chat, ending in a mutual trust that spared me a logistical hurdle or two in the morning. Wowowow I just kept thinking I was so lucky to have clicked on Sophia’s profile. Well, that helpful, courteous, cheerful attitude was maintained throughout the two weeks that I was away. Questions about locations and working conditions of relevant necessaries in my “full of character” century home (thank you sink faucet and garbage disposal for choosing the day before I left to crap out just to make things interesting) were asked respectfully, and made me confident that a thorough cat-wrangling with care was the nature of the rodeo. Sophia was patient through the periods where I was out of contact while a query was on the table, and just plain took care of what needed to be taken care of. But “just plain” doesn’t do the job that she did justice, because it wasn’t just her words, asked or reported, that made me breathe easy enough to fully immerse myself in international groove retrieval. And it wasn’t just the daily review card info where she diligently catalogued activities human and feline factually as well as with a bit of friendly commentary to supplement. Those things alone would have been great, but the whole package had me beaming when combined with multiple photos sent every day. Which could have been quick snapshots for all I know, but they were important images that repeatedly solidified my comfort in many ways. I saw that this sitter was diligent. Consistent. Committed. Careful. Caring. And in my Emma’s face and body language — she who is a lover when comfortable but can take quite the courtship to reach that point — I saw that all these and other traits that Sophia brought to my home and my pet fused into a trust and appreciation from that rascally little snowball of stink and dreams that I’ve loved for many years. My car was comfortable cat ;was happy. I was comfortable; was happy. With the way that Sophia gave her time energy to the most precious of creatures in my world, and without hesitation at the last minute with to a unique situation with multiple unknowns to be worked out and quirks both cat and casa abounding, I just can’t say enough good things about what she did and how I feel about it. Truly. And had it not been for the jet lag of a lifetime+flu upon my return, I would have said these words so so much sooner to thank Sophia publicly and add to the chorus of folks saying that she is worthy of your immediate consideration and booking. In the past it’s been great having friends pop by briefly to put out food and run when they can. But as I sit here awake at an odd hour from the excitement of starting the planning for another trip back to a different part of the wacky and wonderful East Asian country that’s beguiled me so, I just keep thinking: “Well, as soon as I firm up dates and book hotels to make the trip real, Sophia has GOT to be my next call.” And if you’ve made it this far in my ramble of praise, then hopefully you’re convinced that as far as a Rover sitter for your furry friend, Sophia should be your only call. Travel with confidence, she’s got you covered all the way.

Sophia took such great care of our two cats for two weeks while we were overseas and kept us updated every step of the way. Her updates were clear concise and always noted any changes. The best part of her updates were her photos! She captured images that had so much personality it really gave us emotional security while we were away for a while. 100% recommend!
