Hi, my name is Sophia and I live with my partner Lauren and our dog Alva in the Southside. With over 15 years of experience in caring for my own pets and fostering rescue dogs, as well as having done lots of dog walking and training in the past, I'm confident in caring for dogs and providing them with lots of stimulation, exercise and play. As well as giving them lots of opportunities to rest and provide them with a structured day. Me and Lauren are both passionate about the outdoors and try and fit nature walks into our weeks wherever we can!

Wanda had the best time with Sophia! Sophia sent me loads of updates which was great as was quite anxious about leaving her. But I needn’t have worried as she was so well cared for and had loads of amazing walks. Would definitely book again and highly recommend.

Sophia communicated well with us during the stay, keeping us updated with lots of photos. She took great care of our Jack Russell and he had a fantastic time. Would highly recommend.

We're located on the ground floor in a two bedroom tenement flat with access to a secure backyard. We're just 5mins away from Queen's park but like to mix it up with visiting other local parks such as Maxwell park, Pollok park & Linn Park regularly. Due to me working from home the dogs would rarely be by themselves, and if they are it wouldn't be longer than a couple of hours to pop to the shops etc.

Every dog is different and comes with their own habits and character, as well as different exercise needs! We're happy to adjust our care to each dog to make sure we meet all their needs, as well as making sure that your dog gets along well with Alva, and they're both happy. Please let us know about any habits and your usual routine with your dog, making sure that your dog has an easy time adjusting to their new environment as they're getting used to us!
A typical day
With our dog Alva, this is what our current routine looks like during the week: - wake up, feed and 45 mins morning walk from 8-9am - 9-2pm time to rest / play and for some enrichment whilst I work from home - 2-3.30pm off lead walk and play at Queen's park or Pollok park - 3.30-6pm rest - 6-6.30pm evening walk on lead around Pollokshields in winter or another hour of exercise or excursions to the beach in summer - 7pm dinner feeding time - 10pm bedtime pee On the weekends we'd explore the surrounding areas of glasgow and go on hikes or walks with the dogs, to provide them with different smells and new trails to explore.

I'm working from home, meaning my schedule during the week is very flexible. On the weekends we love to explore new hikes and walks around and outside of Glasgow.
